  1. Blue Jays Tigers As (1) WC: Orioles, Angels ALCS: Tigers vs Angels Braves Brewers Dodgers (1) WC: Nats, Cards NLCS: Dodgers, Brewers WS Tigerd, Brewers win in 7 in extras
  2. How did we go from 57 to 55 without winning and while the cards/pirates are winning games?
  3. Kintzler is in. Wouldn't have been my choice. That or Gorzy. I would go 1. Duke 2. Smith 3. Jeffress but he goes with 4. Gorz 5. kintzler
  4. I was thinking the same thing. They should have shown the # of pitches made under each count and a % of HR's by count. The Reds announcers did not even acknowledge the probability aspect and they talked about it for a good amount of time.
  5. Don't managers automatically get thrown out now for balls and strikes? If that is the case then it definitely isn't worth it. It's also important to consider the reality that both of those pitches to Braun were strikes. It sort of ruins your credibility when you argue against the ump when he made thee right call.
  6. Maybe he wants to give Smith an inning before the break to help him get his groove back. While also resting Peralta in a game in the bag. makes perfect sense to me. No, it doesn't make any sense. Smith isn't just our most used reliever, he's on pace to tie the team record for relief appearances in a season. He's going to break down before the season is over with if they keep pitching him, literally(am I am using that term correctly) every other day. Going into today he's on pace for 83 games. Team record is 83 games. He doesn't need more work, he needs more rest. OK, I guess that settles it as fact. You must be right.
  7. In a game where the starter was at 79 pitches through 7 innings........ Maybe he wants to give Smith an inning before the break to help him get his groove back. While also resting Peralta in a game in the bag. makes perfect sense to me.
  8. I would be wondering if it is a slump or if he is truly going into decline. Would also start to think he should be moved down in the order, at some point. Holiday is 34 years old now, a pretty typical age for hitters to start declining. He is in year 5 of a 7 year contract meaning the Cards are on the hook through 2016.
  9. 16-9 Another solid month for the crew Sweep STL July 11-13
  10. I went.to a game at skydome 3 years ago. I liked it there quite a bit Nice city and I also enjoyed the stadium. I got to see the dome open and close and liked the way their roof retracts better than miller park. The stadium feels a little bit outdated but that was ok with me. Im a little tired of modern ballparks after having seen so many of them by now. The fans in Toronto seemed vary tame and sedated. Now they lead the ALE so maybe it is different. I stayed at Thompson Toronto. They have a great rooftop pool and bar with views of the city. I got a great deal there on Priceline. If you don't mind spending.a little extra it's worth it. Had some delicious poutine and enjoyed walking around the city. If you sit on the left field side and the dome is open you'll have views of the space needle, or whatever they call it there, which is cool. I like it when ballparks incorporate a surrounding area. I've been to 17 of the current mlb stadiums and about 25 total. Would rank skydome right km the middle. Hope you make it. Please post a review.
  11. I hope they get rid of it and go back to the old days. There are some positives overall I don't like it. Hate the extra stall in the game and how mgrs can just go out there for any play and veer into the dugout for what to do.
  12. Thanks for the explanation. What a silly rule.
  13. Hello, I really don't get the super 2 thing, and I feel like a lot of posters in the thread are ignoring the relevance of that. Could anyone please provide a basic description of what it means to have super 2 status, and how one might becomes eligible, and subsequently ineligible? And then if you really want to tie the loop then how does it relate to Jimmy Nelson and what needs to happen for him to no longer be eligible for that?
  14. I dont know why Rock always says "pretty close" or "too close to take" when fox trax clearly shows the pitch was a ball.
  15. Hi, This threads been inactive 3 years. But I am searching for the "M" hat online in a 7 1/2 and my search led me back to bf.net Any ideas where I can find it at this day in age? I want one.
  16. I feel like this IGT board is way to focused on Wang. Brewers are 7-2 and half the posts are complaining about the last guy on the roster not getting in yet. I am curious to see Wang pitch too but it's not that big of a deal.
  17. I think Braun thrives like in 2012 .308/.369/.540/1.016/36 HR/116 RBI
  18. Does anybody know if there is a Winter League in Arizona? I understand there was an official "Arizona Winter League" which ceased in 2013. Is there a league that replaced it, or a separate lesser league? I only ask because I plan to be down there and would love to see baseball of pretty much any form.
  19. I don't think they are on tv. There is no option to view Brewers network on mlb.tv either. Another REd Sox Yankees game:bahhh
  20. Brewers need gallardo to be effective in the rotation to have any prayer next season. Despite his down year I think any team in MLB would place Gallardo in their 2014 rotation given the chance. Meanwhile Brewers have one of the worst rotations in the league and you wanna put him in the bullpen? In favor of who gorzo/Thornberg/Estrada/Narveson/Hellweg? That's really far out on a limb.
