  1. Trade Dave Bush.
  2. What about a package involving Drabek and Morrow? Would the Blue Jays ever do that? The Brewers would have to send over a pitcher in this deal.. Morrow has done very well in his last 6 starts. There might be something there.
  3. I also think Scooter (Ryan) Gennett should be promoted as well and should play SS. Escobar's lack off hitting at the Major League level is making me nervous about the production at the SS position. Gennett would be a couple years away, but that should give Escobar plenty of time to prove himself. The Brewers should be looking for some security and depth at the SS position. Gennett to SS solves that.
  4. Carlos Gomez isn't getting on base enough. He hasn't been good at all. For this reason the Brewers should promote Cain to AAA and see what he can do. If Cain does well in AAA I'd give him a shot to earn the CF job in Milwaukee. I'd send Gomez to the minors. The sooner the Brewers promote Cain the better IMO. He provides another option in CF other than Gomez/Edmonds.
  5. Jeffress pitched 1IP and allowed no Hits or Runs, and walked 1, and SO 3.
  6. Trade Fielder and Hart and Cash to Tampa Bay for Hellickson, Jennings.
  7. They could always trade Fielder after this season. Plus, isn't it the goal for any major league team to get to the WS? By trading for Fielder this season they would accomplish that. They would be the clear favorites.
  8. The payroll next year should be lower, because of attendance drop.
  9. Logan, My point is that the Brewers can still add to the payroll. That's all I was saying.
  10. Here is the link, link The Brewers can still add players come the trade deadline if they can be competitive again. Absorbing Suppan's salary doesn't affect that. "Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio said the decision to absorb a $10 million hit by releasing Jeff Suppan on Monday won't affect the team's ability to add players in midseason trades. But that's only if the team begins to perform better on the field."
  11. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm very happy to have Mark A as the Brewers principle owner. The Brewers payroll used to be just under 36 million, and now it is 90 million. With room to go up according to Mark A himself. I can't really complain about Mark A because he is doing his job as the owner of the Milwaukee Brewers. I think the focus should be on Doug Melvin. Mark A job has more to do with the payroll then which players the Brewers go after. Which is Doug Melvins job btw... I believe that it was Doug Melvin's idea to go after FA pitching like Randy Wolf, and not to trade for pitching. Doug Melvin deserves most if not all the blame for this years teams performance, and bad contracts. Not the Brewers owner.
  12. I'd like the Brewers to draft Stetson Allie at 14th
  13. Did Ryan Gennett get moved from 2B to SS? According to this Link is says that Gennett is the SS for the Timber Rattlers. .. Just curious. link
  14. Brett Lawrie is hot right now batting .361/.452/.667 over his last ten games. With a 6 game hit streak. Keep it up Lawrie!
  15. The Brewers were actually considering calling up Rivas according to Mccalvy?!? Only travel issues got in the way? Wow.. What does everybody think of this? Is Amaury Rivas ready?
  16. You'd think with all the pitchers they used tonight that they would call up Braddock...
  17. Mlbnetwork is confirming and talking about this right now, btw.
  18. I want no part of Cliff Lee unless an extension can be worked out. No more rentals.
  19. From ESPN link Lance Berkman is open to the idea of waiving the no-trade clause in his contract, and this is presumably something the hypercompetitive Roy Oswalt also would entertain, in a year in which the Astros are off to a terrible start and averaging about three runs a game. Rival executives said in interviews this week that both players would have trade value -- but perhaps not nearly as much as Houston owner Drayton McLane would require. If anybody has insider could you post the rest of the article? Thanks. I would love for the Brewers to go hard after Roy Oswalt. Is it realistic?
  20. I thought we were talking mid-season? Things could change. Lawrie, Gamel and Salome could get it going by then, and maybe Parra would be doing great in the bullpen. That could change things. Just saying...
  21. Trade - Manny Parra Bret Lawrie Angel Salome Mat Gamel For- Zach Greinke/Extension The Brewers should re-sign Rickie Weeks. Making Lawrie expendable. Every one of these players are blocked right now and will be blocked in the near future.
  22. Call Braddock up. Boy is he ever ready. 5 SO in 1.2IP and has yet to give up a run? wow..
