  1. Nice job of the Braves working their counts getting the pitch count up. If they are doing it on purpose, kudos to them.
  2. I don't understand how McDowell doesn't lose his job if what was said in that article is correct. Homophobic slurs-check Lude actions-check Swearing in front of children-check Threatening someone with a bat-check Trying to drive out paying customers-check Tell me one job where you could do all that and still remain. I know others will say that "baseball" isn't just a normal job, that it's different. That's crap, this guy should be out of a job. I do believe in second chances but he should have to earn them, not handed them to you after a two week vacation. Lastly, and I don't know this but it's just my guess, he is really apologizing for getting caught and having this whole thing go public, not for his actions.
  3. His job is to call balls and strikes. The Brewers could be up or down ten runs and that should be called a strike. The Astros pitcher could walk ten straight batters and that should be a strike. The strike zone is black and white, not what the situation dictates. The sooner we go to computers, the better in my opinion.
  4. A lot of things went wrong tonight to get the loss. Poor hitting, some sloppy defense, and the two walks at the end. With all that in mind I am going to blame the ump for not ringing him up in the bottom of the 9th. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpg/995155a88adc005af6eec71e951828be200ce02_r.jpg
  5. I see a Brewer pitcher coming close to a no-hitter this year. Seems like they have the arms for it this year.
  6. Bases Loaded in that Cards game, no outs and tied up. Surprised Bourn didn't score from second on a single.
  7. I loved Kanyon, he had the size, athletic talent, and charisma to at least be a mid carder. Just got shoved off to the side when Nash was booking.
  8. Escobar really showed off his range and arm on a great play today.
  9. Hard not to be a fan of what he has done this year. Go for the series win Yo!
  10. Kruk just called OPS as the most overrated stat in hitting.
  11. Is there a way to show the amount of pitches per atbat for the Reds during the year? It seems like they are very patient but I could just be looking through homer goggles.
  12. One that I liked back in the WCW day was The Flock with Raven, Kanyon, Saturn, and Kidman (as well as others). Raven should have had a bigger push.
