Brandon Kintzler to DL; Tim Dillard's contract purchased
razzzorsharp replied to battlekow's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Would have been nice to see Dillard in the 8th yesterday. -
Any chance the Brewers will bring up Kottaras to replace Nieves at any point (barring injury)? Tomorrows lineup wouldn't look to be like this if they are facing a RHP... 1) Weeks 2) Kotaras 3) Braun 4) Fielder 5) McGehee 6) Hart 7) Boggs 8) Betancourt
-
Tell me that was a suicide squeeze because RR can't be stupid enough to bunt a runner over from 1st to 2nd with no outs and a man on third. That would not make sense.
-
Hurdle's face was red, like a tomater.
-
Hawkins works DD slow it seems.
-
I would love to see Lucroy and Gomex switch for tomorrow.
-
I am cool with Gallardo hitting but I hope he is done for the day.
-
Brewers love to mess around for 5 days before eventually DLing players.
-
I will say that Gallardo is our best PH option off the bench.
-
Do not bunt with Gallardo.
-
Axford looked ok but the Padres were chasing. Did he get his breaking ball in at all?
-
Goodish play by Betancourt. Poor throw from Weeks. It's tough to throw a one hopper from where he was but he tried his best and succeded.
-
This seems to be one of those times where you should watch Axford in the pen and see if he is locating his breaking pitch. If he isn't, they need to know that and make accomodations if needed.
-
Wow, great play.
-
I have another good feeling here. Brewers 5 Padres 4.

Roenicke wants me to think he's an idiot (Kotsay in CF)
razzzorsharp replied to endaround's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
How many balls does Gomez get to that Kotsay doesn't throughout a game? One, maybe two. To RR that must be worth it to give Gomez a day off. -
This should be Gallardo's last inning. Last time he went deep was against the Braves, and I don't know if it had anything to do with his struggles, since that game he has been off.
-
Verlander has a perfect game through 5.
-
If you want to see something very ugly, check out the Brewers' hitters last seven games.... http://milwaukee.brewers....ubmit=Submit&timeFrame=1 OPS from the starters in this small sample... Weeks-.797 Gomez-.463 Braun-.432 Fielder-.462 McGehee-.439 Hart-.300 Betancourt-.367 Lucroy-.413 You can tell why we scored one run per game this past week.
-
I got a good feeling about this one, I really do. 7-2 Brewers.
-
7 runs in 7 games. Not that awesome.
-
I really don't consider myself a pessimist but I am starting to really hate the fact that the Brewers announcers seem to always think it's the pitchers' doing and not the Brewers hitting. Garcia wasn't hitting all his spots, he was out of the zone often, and the Brewers chased.
-
How many strikes did the Braves closer really throw? Lots of bad swings.
-
Wow, that sucks.
-
I would be surprised if they get shut out too.
