  1. In that regard couldn't Grienke get his work in by working in the pen. Of course he can't, but the same kind of scenerio.
  2. Good start by Estrada. It's not our pitching, it's not our defense, it's been our offense that has been killing us. The good thing is once Morgan and Hart are healthy we are going to be at least average at worst.
  3. Got hits from CC, Kotsay, and Gomez. Can't ask for much more.
  4. I wouldn't go so far as to call Narveson "The True Ace" yet, but he is getting closer.
  5. I see there is a lot of "DFA Betacourrt" but I don't see any FA options out there. Nothing in the minors either so I think we are stuck with him.
  6. So is thing available via mail?

  8. Even if they did have a flawless inning on defense, that game was not theirs. They still needed to score at some point and then hold the Nats as well. It does suck but every team can look back at games throughout the year and say "what if?". There is no need to ruin a night or a weekend on it, especially when they get another chance to get a win tomorrow barring bad weather. The 162 games is the beauty of baseball, you almost always get a chance to redeem yourself tomorrow. That would be comforting if I didn't think this type of game WILL happen again to this team. Roenicke seems to love micro-managing, but some of the stuff just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. The shifts I can deal with, I would hope there is some data to support them. I do agree with you about his PHers and lineups being a little off sometimes. That's what I was referring to when I said I hope RR learned something from today's loss. I wasn't a huge fan of CC PHing instead of Nyjer at that point in the 9th.
  9. Regardless if Yuni continues with his .205 avg and sub .550 OPS I'd have to think that at least half the short stops in AAA could hit for the same crappy numbers while not sucking at defense. That would be a huge drop off if he stays at .550 from his career norms. I doubt that happens. That isn't to say that DM shouldn't be looking to upgrade the team, I am sure that he is.
  10. This is the type of loss you look at when you miss the playoffs by 2 games. The Nats did NOTHING to win that game. The Brewers gave it away with piss poor defense and situational managing. Completely understandable for people to be irrational and upset after a loss like this. Even if they did have a flawless inning on defense, that game was not theirs. They still needed to score at some point and then hold the Nats as well. It does suck but every team can look back at games throughout the year and say "what if?". 11. Just one game. No need to overreact. Yuni and Prince and below defenders, we know that and that isn't going to change. They are not going to be DFA anytime soon no matter how much you throw that out there. Hopefully RR learned something tonight and Zack realizes he has to hold a runner on.
  12. Yuck, had the defensive alignment. Couldn't get the ball out of the glove. Till tomorrow (hopefully).
  13. Looking for one shipped as well.
