  1. That did NOT look catchable...
  2. It may be MORE frustrating when they get a stop for 1 yard on 2nd and 2 since you know they're not stopping the run 2 plays in a row.
  3. Probably because defenses are more balanced. 1st and 2nd down you see a lot of those wide open PA passes with the TE and RB in the corner and the flat. On 4th though, they may take out a DL and put in another safety/CB.
  4. Didn't think they'd go for it? Got to there. I don't think there was any hesitation. I was just talking about running it on 4th down. Seems like teams seldom run it down there on 4th down.
  5. Yeah, but he's basically a glorified TE.
  6. Like THAT!!! Didn't actually think they'd do it...
  7. Buuuut he's still pretty good!
  8. Another drop. Rodgers numbers would be that much better without the ~10 drops on the year.
  9. And we are playing one of the best teams in the NFL. Brees can't throw it downfield, but they've still got an elite OL, backs and Brees is accurate and 4-5 Pro-Bowlers on that D.
  10. I assumed he meant they've got a good pass rush and create turnovers...
  11. Not sure how they miss that false start by Peat there...
  12. I swear to god I had Keke Kingsley having a breakout game as a "Bold Prediction" on another forum....but I wasn't expecting this.
  13. And when they had Simmons, what else did they have? Gilbert Brown, Reggie, Jones, Dotson and two big backup's who signed massive FA deals. It's not our MLB'ers. It's the guys in front of him. Late in Ray Lewis' career he had poor OL play and he wasn't the same player. I can't think of a single MLB'er in the NFL who'd solve our problems on D. No argument that they have substandard DLine talent but a Wagner or Hendricks type player would still make a big difference. It'd make a difference, but Bobby Wagner isn't turning this from a bad run D to a good or even average run D. RB's are too good to be able to have to shed a 315 pound guard AND make a play on the back. For all the crap Capers got, the DL under him were soooo much better at gap integrity.
  14. Wayne Simmons? He was an OLB. George Koonce was the MLB on those Super Bowl teams. I actually thought Brian SimmonsWilliams for a second since he was the guy who looked like the stud. But I assumed he just meant an off ball LB'er.

  16. That's what saved us last week. Detroit came out, rammed it down our throats...but they didn't stick with it and the offense is playing so well, they eventually had to go away from it. Keke's and Adams are playing a little better tonight though. NO has a great OL and two really good backs also. Packers should be making sure Harrison doesn't make that visit to Seattle this week.
  17. Really can't afford to lose Kirksey. When he doesn't have a guard or tackle on him, he's playing pretty well.
  18. Smith's gotta play the edge better. That was pretty easy for Armstead to take him out of that play.
  19. I'm excited about him. He got like 2 chances last year and on one of them he got wide open with a great double move and they overthrew him. The other he lost his footing and that tipped ball.
  20. It'll be a really good test for this offense. I'd think the Saints would be able to put up ~28...so we'll see how legit the first two weeks are. Kinda glad they're being cautious with Clark and Adams. Can't afford to be without either for several weeks if they re-injure their respective injuries.
  21. Average police response time is something like 3-5 minutes. In Milwaukee? The average response time for a non-violent crime is much-MUCH longer than that. 40+ minutes.
  22. I like Turner and Profar...but do you think Walker is worth that type of investment? That seems like a pretty risky proposition. Even this year he has a 4.60 FIP... I wonder what Springer is going to get in free agency. If he signs with the Astros...I'd think they'd almost certainly let Brantley walk as they've already got about 120 committed to 7 players next year. He obviously doesn't fill one of the big holes we have in the IF, but he's a guy who hits for a high avg and may be cheap relative to his production based on his injury history. Plug him into the #2 hole. Yelich, Cain, Garcia, Brantley in the OF/DH....if Brantley could be had for a 2-3 year deal at a reasonable rate, I'd love to see him @3/45. It'll be interesting to see how aggressive the Brewers are in free agency though.
  23. He's 23 years old. Very few 23 year old players have not proven they can play. Sometimes you just have to give a guy the job and hope for the best when you're a small market team and you have multiple holes to plug.
  24. The game Brady started screaming and dropping F-Bombs on the sideline? Huh...that seems like just about every game I've seen him play. But when he does it, he's "competitive," not a diva...like Rodgers.
