  1. well, Nashville trying to win tonight without Krynzel and Brad Nelson in there. Wonder why
  2. the way I got to a person was I said I had a technical problem, that I had a message on the screen, and then I said the option other than "station not available," so I went through some process where I had to press 1 twice to let them know I was supposedly trying to reboot the receiver. After that was done, they asked if it worked, and if it didn't to press something. So then they connected me
  3. They're about as helpful as a McDonald's or DMV worker. go to the Waukesha DMV, as I've never had a problem there. I hear horror stories elsewhere though, especially in AZ. Still, DirecTv is better than Cox Communications in Arizona. Satellite over cable any day
  4. Robin19, that just kind of shows that Overbay has been in a slump if we're calling for him to hit 6th. And in this case, I think having Lee 4th is important, as he's the RBI and homer guy
  5. Ok, Honks - good luck on getting it turned on for us!!! They guy went to get his supervisor after I explained the situation. After being on hold for about 2 minutes, I got disconnected. I'm not trying again, cause it takes 10 minutes just to talk w/someone
  6. got through to Directv...on the phone w/a guy now
  7. wow, a bunt hit. we have someone w/speed!
  8. is losing a first rounder worth them? yes. And the other benefit it you can overpay for several kids that you know are worth it, rather than overpay for a first rounder who may not be worth what he's asking
  9. Krynzel now 23-31 in steals this season. Nice progress there.
  10. Wow is Drew Anderson on fire lately. Looks like he wants to be in Huntsville next year. Nice pitching pretty much all around tonight. Good to see Li'l Ben with a good outing. The Sounds need him ready to go in the playoffs. With a strong finish, he or Sarfate might wind up in the bigs
  11. I've been on the Vandenberg and Gwynn bandwagons since they were drafted, so it's good to hear there's a few others besides clancy or Al
  12. Soon, the Stars came up with rules for entering, such as taking off your hat inside the ring of rocks; no tobacco or spitting; and show respect for the garden by helping keep and maintain it. interesting to note the tobacco or spitting aspect, since technically those carry a fine for minor leaguers. I believe the AAA/Fall League fine was $500 per incident last year (a lot when you make like $1500 a month!), and AA was only slightly lower
  13. I'm still amazed that Heether went from 3b who can't hit to a .300 hitter. Supposedly the power potential is still there, but how does one jump like 60 points?
  14. the AZ boxscore up already...no big names, but 2 walks for Cain
  15. Sure would be nice to see the Hurricane pick up some steam. Afterall, September is prime Hurricane season
  16. it's fun knowing that Inman should be going this weekend...I've been converted I guess
  17. can't imagine that Sarfate would go to the Fall League. He was rated the league's best righty prospect last year. He's coming off injury. And on our squad last year, we had 6 players from every team except for the Royals. We had Bass, Keppinger, Tamayo, Wilkerson, Stodolka, Murphy, and Teahen from them, and the 7th was added only after the Marlins' Trevor Hutchinson was sent home with a minor arm injury (in spring training he was diagnosed as having a torn labrum, I think), and the Marlins opted not to send a replacement pitcher. And I'm not sure how it worked out this way, but we had one Oriole.
  18. It's got to be hard for a hitter to pass on college, while it has to be hard for a pitcher to pass on the pros. Just my thoughts, but that'd seem my logic if I was giving advice
  19. Magruder is a nice guy and all but I think it's time we part with him. I'd rather see Nelson Cruz up here. Actually, I was saying to open up a 40man spot for Cirillo, and 25 man spot for Clark
  20. Nice outing by Cappy...I was there. And also good to see Capellan hit 96 on the gun once or twice. I thought he threw from the windup in spring training. I thought about De La Rosa, but I don't care. They brought in one of their projects. I'll bet Jorge has been up in the pen a lot lately, or at least is expected to be needed a lot soon.
  21. right now it seems likely that Clark gets activated and Prince goes down, or Magruder DFAd
  22. Colby, I was thinking that maybe Braun and Heether jump to Nashville for the playoffs
  23. Parra likely is having surgery or at least strenuous rehab. Jones and Saenz should be at 90% or so for instrucs, although who knows how their rehabs are coming. I'm sure the Brewers would like to send Hendrickson again to work on things. Perhaps--if healthy--a Diggins/R. Anderson sighting is possible. Mike Adams could go for more work.
