  1. So how long until Weeks passes Jenkins in RBIs? I say August 1st
  2. Why is he even out there? Can he be DEALT soon? Clancy, why don't you like him?
  3. that's a rough start to the bottom of the 7th. That fly to CF was a true hit, but one that Krynzel likely would have gotten to. Our substandard speed in the OF does hurt us.
  4. so is this force of nature in FLA gonna prevent the Little Unit from going tomorrow? I've been counting down the days since he last left the mound!
  5. lefty to face Jenks...should we bring in Cirillo?
  6. Worked out quite nicely, though. yep, and the Crew has pulled off several well executed hit-and-runs in the last 5-10 days. I know they look terrible when they don't work. But those are the backbreakers for other teams.
  7. Gwynn now 1-2 tonight. That means that going back to last Sunday he's 6-15 with 9bb vs 1k. okay, he went 1-4 that's still 6-17 with 9 bb vs 1k
  8. JJ's just missed about 4 others so far this year. I see him finishing with 10-15 jacks, and that's only the beginning. was listening to the Phil's announcers in the car. Sounded like Weeks was robbed in AB #1, and given a gift hit by Utley in #2
  9. in the brewers notes section from today.
  10. Milwaukee, which made 49 selections in the draft, has now signed four of its first 10 picks did I miss something. the 4th, 7th, and 10th rounders make 3.
  11. but Josh Brady and Tony Festa need to start playing like 24-year-old's in low-A ball... those two, Richardson, and Rasheed are 4 I expect much more from. Come on guys, get it going. At least maybe Braun will be there to help them soon
  12. Hopefully Ned's post game PC is on the radio, you'd have to think Powell will have an update of some variety before he signs off. internet feed isn't working for me, so I can't listen. I'm off to listen to Sarfate's gem
  13. Turnbow has been struggling lately since he's been rushing his delivery. I felt more comfortable there with Wise, as he or Bottalico is more likely to get out of that jam at this point in time
  14. gotta be Baker's longest (and best) start of the year. congrats. So he's had one bad outing in has last 4 or 5, so that's encouraging
  15. I've been commenting on Krynzel's stance for a while, and it's different from spring training. In spring training it was a lot like Pods. Now it's a bit more upright, not sticking the butt out, and not as much bend at the knees. It's light years ahead of what it was 2 years ago, but I liked the look in Spring training a bit better. Of course, he's slapping the ball on the ground well with this, at least tonight
  16. the difference between Hall's and Jenks is that Hall had a chance to beat it out. Jenks is a truck out there. Still, it was kind of a fluke. I can't remember Jenks hitting into a DP there. They're all right at the 1b or just towards the 2b bag of the first baseman.
  17. Al said it right. With more stars from Canada today than in the past, we want to find the top talent along with the TOP talent that wants to be in Milwaukee
  18. Scoop, Jose had a string of something like 8 of 9 starts with 3 or fewer runs. His stats are heavily skewed by two or 3 outings, which is something we must accept in the PCL. He's doing fine, but not dominating.
  19. The reason I did this thread was that just looking at the draft list made it seem like we took a lot of 2b/3b/lhp. And yes, pretty good spread.
  20. it's some sort of collusion deal, I swear. In his BA chat I saw no references to the Brewers. We're mostly subscribers there. But at ESPN.com, where the free content is iffy, most of us haven't forked out the money for content we feel would likely still be substandard. So ESPN.com is obviously (said sarcastically) out to get more of us here to become insiders.
  21. wow, you guys are good. It's become a pet peeve. I've heard a lot of people saying "so I've got that going for me," but these 18-30 somethings don't seem to get it when I add in "which is nice". It's along the same line as my brother always throwing out there "just put it on the Underhills", and while my quote may be inaccurate, I think every male in that age range (and beyond) should recognize the reference. A classic in college that had me laughing hard was my stats professor being asked if we could go over a certain problem, and he responded, "we could do that. We don't even need a reason for that....wait, what's that from?" I sat there for about 30 seconds, then started laughing. The guy next to me looked at me, puzzled by my laughter. I just nodded and said "Caddyshack." And while I've hijacked this thread, might as well throw in another classic that most males will get. It's a short one. "In a row?"
  22. HS JC Co total C 1 2 1 4 1b 1 2 0 3 2b 1 2 1 4 ss 1 2 1 4 3b 1 1 1 3 of 3 1 2 6 cf 1 1 0 2 rhp 4 6 6 16 lhp 4 2 1 7 total 17 19 13
  23. so you've got that going for ya. "...which is nice!" okay, what movie????
