  1. Shhhhh..... people on here are afraid of the truth...
  2. Doug should make the call and see if we can get a Yost for Macha swap.
  3. My thoughts have always been to sell as much ball in glove merch as possible but keep it off the field. That way the fans who can't seem to let go of the past can buy their tshirts and jerseys while the team can have their own identity.
  4. Yep, also covered the rare times the Indians play here (including when they used MP a few years ago due to snow).
  5. I'd like to see them work a deal with the Bucks somehow. Maybe sell a combined ticket package of some sorts (3 Brewers games & 3 Bucks games for a discounted price), or free Bucks tickets w/ Brewer season ticket packages (and vice versa). The seasons don't overlap much so there won't be much competition between the two teams as far as getting the publc's entertainment dollars. And the Bucks could definitely use the help in the promotions department.
  6. Why not? There are several teams that own their planes. I remember seeing both a Miami Heat and a formerly Seattle Supersonics plane in MKE Yep. I've also seen the Dallas Mavs' jet parked near Signature on Layton quite a few times when the Mavs were in town (and in some cases during the offseason)
  7. Well now the young guys are going to know what it's like to play both a clinching game for your team and now a win-or-go-home game. They obviously aren't winning a title this year, so it's just about getting as much experience in different situations as possible.
  8. Yep. As fun and exciting as these games have been this year, this experience for the younger guys on the team will be priceless going forward. If this playoff run doesn't help the Bucks sell a few more tickets next year, they might as well move the team.
  9. I'm cheering for a huge rain storm to suddenly develop over the ballpark.
  10. Any chance they'll offer refunds for season tickets? Don't know if I want to waste my summer weekends watching these guys anymore...
  11. I'd guess even sooner than that. And until then, the cookies likely won't even be baked on-board anymore but will be served cold from a bag. Without hot meal service, there is no reason to keep the ovens for just the cookies. I'm glad I was able to pick up a pair of the wide leather seats when they had the sale at the hangar a few months ago.
  12. It'll be nice to get the younger guys some playoff experience, even if they do go out in the first round. Next season should be interesting with Redd back (or more specifically his expiring contract available to trade for more help) and a likely top 12-13 pick thanks to the Bulls.
  13. I was shocked at how quickly I was able to get in the lots today. I arrived a little after 12 and was able to take Canal St. right into the preferred lots (had a pass) with no more than 2 or 3 minutes total of waiting in a line of cars. It seemed that they were turning away those without passes far enough away from the stadium that they didn't get in everyone else's way.
  14. I wonder if getting rid of that was part of the new batter's eye (the pump had bright colors that could be distracting) or if it was just that the marketing deal was over.
  15. He won't return, but I'm thinking the Bucks are going to go with the "there is a chance he could return" line to sell playoff tickets. Nobody will want to pay to watch them get swept.
  16. The official form to request these says you get up to 6 characters (no spaces) or 5 characters (with one or two spaces).
  17. They probably would have gotten a better ROI over the long run using that $ for a retractable roof instead of spending it on Mauer.
  18. It would also be a logistic nightmare to quickly schedule those last 30 games as far as travel, stadium use (for teams that share with NFL for example), etc... You likely wouldn't know for sure which teams would be in the top 12 and bottom 18 until days before the "second season" would start. There is a reason the full 162-game schedule is finalized months in advance.
