  1. Maybe not a Bear, but I'd love to see a bear do it.
  2. 74 wins. The injuries just keep coming all year long and the main guys are never healthy at the same time.
  3. I'll miss the Big Unit. Nobody could endlessly shill arch supports and water softeners like he could... /good riddance
  4. I'm still shocked they haven't changed the carry-in policy yet. They've had plenty of chances to do it, especially now that the crowds are big (they could cite security issues, wanting to get people in the stadium quicker, etc...). Good for them though.
  5. Brutal first half. They are in serious trouble.
  6. Now that they have 4 networks, I don't think they will do that. And TWC doesn't have the HD version of truTV which makes it suck even more.
  7. And by the looks of things on the JS blogs and elsewhere, a bunch of "fans" have also injured themselves jumping off the bandwagon http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. People are annoying. I'm with Zack.
  9. Was able to get 2 seats in 117, row 9, right behind home plate, $80 each. Not bad considering what the nosebleeds are going for on the secondary market.
  10. "The lottery ends February 15, and winners will be notified by February 21." Probably won't hear anything until Monday.
  11. Kind of sucks that the mail-order is either one player or all of them. Would have been nice to pick and choose to avoid overpriced guys like Hawk.
  12. I'd love a Selig with his hands in the air from when he was talking to the umps about the tie, haha.
  13. I'm guessing one of the memorabilia dealers around here that gets Rodgers for a signing during the next few months will get a bunch of belts for him to sign. Would be a little more unique than the traditional helmet/ball/jersey/photo.
  14. looks like we could have some bigger storms this week, especially those of us near the lake
  15. I wouldn't expect much of a difference this year. Talk is cheap. The Brewers saying they are going to push the envelope is the equivalent of a new manager saying the team is going to run more. It makes the customer happy but rarely ever happens.
  16. I disagree. Most of the cheap chinese knock-off jerseys have the yellowish color on the jerseys instead of the gold metallic and it looks awful.
  17. Actually, it's more like the "Ryan Braun's contracted autograph memorabilia company Rule" These companies have deals with the athletes. They want their investment protected so for mass signings like this, they want the athlete to either not sign certain items or personalize or non-sweet spot, etc... Don't blame the player - they are likely just following the contract they signed.
  18. I'm guessing most of those 1100 are 9-packs. I don't think they got that many full-season equivalents already.
  19. 84 wins, 2nd in division, no wild card.
  20. Looks like they will add a Grienke to what they had already planned: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/112257179.html
  21. Doug bought himself about 3 years of job security with this trade. The team should be fine the next 2 seasons, and then the bottom is going to fall out. 2013 will be the first of several awful years and then all bets are off with the entire front office. And unlike 99% of you on here, I don't consider one or two likely first or second round playoff exits the next couple seasons worth the following 5 years of futility.
  22. So 2 years of "going for it" and then probably 5 years of 70-win seasons afterwards now that our minor league cabinet is pretty much. Big price to pay. But hey, at least they'll sell some season tickets for the next year or two.
  23. guess we don't need to worry about where to put the station...
  24. Trade Lorenzo Cain... http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2...s-dangling-lorenzo-cain/
  25. Sounds like Lawrie and another lower-tier prospect. Brewers are definitely overpaying, but that's what most teams do for pitching. Now the idiot casual fans can stop whining about how Melvin does nothing to improve pitching and can start whining about how he traded away the future of the team (even though they've never seen any of the prospects or Marcum play).
