That was a fun game...Mcghee was fun to watch as long as Liberty was losing. It's amazing what getting out of the B1G does for a teams 2FG%...that was a bugaboo all year and today Chucky, Crowl and Wahl just dominated inside, as they should have against an undersized mid major. Klesmit was non-existant on offense for 38 minutes, then came up HUGE down the stretch. Hopefully the starting 5 all come back next year to do something special.

Did I say it would be excruciating to be a UNC fan this year? It would be excruciating to be a Purdue fan...every single year forever. Somehow, neither Keady nor Painter has ever even made a Final Four...

Why would TS tweet that? Booo. I'd rather hold out as late as possible for a high return and risk retirement. The cap hit lessens after June 1st, and there is no way the NY media will be patient enough to let the Jets wait that long.

The drama here has been 100% media driven. What is Matt Ryan's status next year? He's got more career yards thrown than Rodgers and is a likely future HOFer... are there reporters both hounding him AND the Colts daily about what is going to happen next year? It's not like it's July...

I thought his point was the wishi-washi-ness of the Packers communication to all these guys that was annoying, not the fact that the Packers moved on from them.

He said he went INTO the retreat at 90% retiring. While in the retreat that number moved more toward 50/50. After leaving the retreat, he was taken aback by the words that the Packers were looking to deal him, and yet he also said that the entire year last year he was getting the feeling that the Packers didn't really want him back, yet nobody would actually say that.

This is going to be a strange watch tonight...I guess it is similar to games coming down the stretch in Brad's frosh year when they knew the season would end without a postseason...Although this is weirder since it IS the postseason...kind of. Whatever happens in the first half, I expect the opposite to happen in the 2nd half, with UW losing a close one.

If the game was in doubt, yes. The game was all but over. The ump coulda thrown the kid out after strike 2, but that just would have extended the inevitable for everybody, so he decided to end the game and let everybody get on with their night instead. -
Wrong. There are MANY cable companies in WI that dropped the RSNs years ago. Cable is basically a monopoly as people only have one choice, thus the streaming companies should have been a godsend, but nobody carried it except for DirectTV Stream. Again, one option--in addition to DirectTV satellite. If Fubo is getting it, I'll likely be dropping DTV. Also, cable and satellite are long term contracts, so if somebody signed up when the RSN was carried and then it was dropped they were screwed. The month-to-month streaming options again are WAYYY better for the consumer.

It's probably not realistic to expect another Micah Potter type of transfer, but a clone of his would sure be nice. Gard HAS shown he CAN do it despite no real starting spots to offer, so hopefully it happens again.

If just ONE of Gilmore, Wahl or Crowl could shoot 35% from 3 point land the team might have won the conference (and they had stayed healthy). The personnel next November is going to be interesting. Gard will be evaluated next April. I fully expect his seat cools back down to tenured status from the "slightly warm" status it is right now. It's all about recruiting though. We've gotten precious few of our top targets the last 6 years...and occasionally we've gotten them they weren't the guy... or even A guy. This might not be a Gard issue but more of an assistant coach issue.

I'm 95% sure the announcer (Mark Adams) for the UWM-Cleveland St game dropped an F-bomb at the 6:50 mark of the first half...nothing malicious, just hilarious...somebody check my work... EDIT: after reflection, I think he said "BUCKING" Bronco... not the other one...bed time for me...

What? NIL SHOULD basically make scholarship limits a thing of the past--IF you've got guys who either can contribute NOW OR develop enough to SIGNIFICANTLY contribute in the future. Obviously, Gilmore is better than a couple of scholarship guys who aren't even 1st year guys... If the staff thinks Hodges/Ilver can develop enough to become better than average B1G players...great...but it's far more likely they need to go the way of Matthew Mors and that guy from Michigan who transferred to a DII school who I've already forgotten the name of.... Gilmore has been a godsend considering his flexible "preferred walk-on" status...

Purdue isn't very good. Although had somebody asked me after Thanksgiving I'd say that Kansas wasn't very good either. Strange year, although last year St Peter's nearly made the Final Four, only to lose to a team in the Elite 8 that squeaked into the tourney as a First Four participant. So I guess this is the norm in college bball these days.

Weird half on the offensive end, good enough on the defensive end. Isaac Lindsey may have saved UW's season if they can pull it out. 8 huge points...although there hasn't been much of a contribution from anybody else on that end. Wahl with a 3 too... if UW has to rely upon IL and TW 3s in the 2nd half I don't like their chances...
