  1. Still should get Hyatt, Tillman, Downs... plus get 159. Very nice.
  2. I was hoping for him in Round 3
  3. Happy with either TE, Hyatt, Branch, or Capt Hook
  4. No way 3 of the next 7 picks are TEs, and I'm happy with Mayer, Washington or Musgrove. edit: okay, maybe 2/6
  5. You'd probably wait for a lefty to play Contreras at DH and then put Voit at 1st for Tellez.
  6. Day game after a night game vs a righty=Caratini 100% of the time. If Winker is hurt or completely tanks then maybe Contreras gets some DH time in day games like this. Otherwise, when ARE you going to sit him? Catchers simply cannot play more than 80% of the time, max. Plus, Caratini isn't bad.
  7. Good enough. Basically a 1st and a 2nd for Rodgers, with some other swaps in there.
  8. I did not know that Guerra was out of options. Too bad as he has a live arm that's for sure. Everything old is new again with Cousins and Claudio.
  9. After doing way too many draft simulations, it sure seems like trading down is always a good option. Basically accumulate as many picks as possible from the pick 45-115 range or so. Would I rather have Michael Mayer or get Luke Musgrove AND Zach Kuntz? Brian Branch or Antonio Johnson AND Nick Herbig? Jordan Addison or Tyler Scott AND Cedric Tillman? Unless the staff has a super high grade on a guy (top 5) and he falls in their lap at 15, trade down.
  10. Weird...seems to be on the left side, which can't be too bad. Still, enough with the injuries to starting pitching...
  11. I'm with you. He was an inefficient volume scorer at a mid-major who turned the ball over a lot. The TOs straight up will not be tolerated at UW which will basically cut his aggressiveness off before it begins (and he was probably too aggressive anyway). The highlights I've seen are not that impressive. Pretty sure Davis' highlight reel would look similar if not better.
  12. I hope Reynolds is closer to a Max Klesmit than an Isaac Lindsey. We need a stretch 4 more than another G, unless he really is a significant upgrade over Lindsey and McGee. Jordan Davis contributed more than those guys too and I'll be happy if Reynolds can out-perform JD2.
  13. As someone who has been critical of the "articles" on the new site, I have to say that I like these recap game articles, they are very well done. Thanks.
  14. The Athletic had Rohde, Rienk Mast from Bradley and Marcus Domask from So ILL in their top 30 guys in the transfer portal (like what, 1500 players?), ahead of Skyy Clark and Jayden Epps and Jamison Battle. UW is rumored to have 2 silent commits and have been linked to these three. Mast + either of the other one would be great gets.
  15. If sports is really about the ecstasy of victory and the agony of defeat, UW basketball is the epitome of sports fandom. I have stated that as long as UW is competetive in every game the play I'll be happy...as there is always hope they will win the upcoming game... Generally though, if the former is true, it is NOT true that they could LOSE every game as well. Not that this is that kind of game, but @Nebraska and vs OSU in the B1G tourney were those games. I still think the statement is true though, even through a season like this. On Wisconsin, on Coach Gard.
  16. back-to-back heat checks go in...yikes...
  17. Feels so weird to be cheering for this team right now...and not be CHEERING for this team (in the NCAAs). Like, it's been a week since the last game and I basically moved on to the Brewers season for my sports attention...and yet...another game.
  18. It should be acknowledged somewhere, but not alongside NCAA and B1G Championship banners. First, of course, they have to win a couple of games.
  19. Fascinating contrast in game styles between Liberty and Oregon... Oregon is huge and long and athletic with no guards and nobody can shoot. Need to start hitting outside shots cuz we can't get a shot off in the lane. If we play sound defense I don't think they can score either.
  20. That was a fun game...Mcghee was fun to watch as long as Liberty was losing. It's amazing what getting out of the B1G does for a teams 2FG%...that was a bugaboo all year and today Chucky, Crowl and Wahl just dominated inside, as they should have against an undersized mid major. Klesmit was non-existant on offense for 38 minutes, then came up HUGE down the stretch. Hopefully the starting 5 all come back next year to do something special.
  21. Why would TS tweet that? Booo. I'd rather hold out as late as possible for a high return and risk retirement. The cap hit lessens after June 1st, and there is no way the NY media will be patient enough to let the Jets wait that long.
  22. The drama here has been 100% media driven. What is Matt Ryan's status next year? He's got more career yards thrown than Rodgers and is a likely future HOFer... are there reporters both hounding him AND the Colts daily about what is going to happen next year? It's not like it's July...
  23. So, after all of this, I can only assume that ARod will lead the Vikings' to a great season in '25, only to catastrophically fail in the postseason?
