  1. Yeah...that's weird. If that was the case you'd think he'd just retire.
  2. He said he went INTO the retreat at 90% retiring. While in the retreat that number moved more toward 50/50. After leaving the retreat, he was taken aback by the words that the Packers were looking to deal him, and yet he also said that the entire year last year he was getting the feeling that the Packers didn't really want him back, yet nobody would actually say that.
  3. I'd love to trade #15 for #26 and #58. Particularly if we get #13 from the Jets.
  4. Wrong. There are MANY cable companies in WI that dropped the RSNs years ago. Cable is basically a monopoly as people only have one choice, thus the streaming companies should have been a godsend, but nobody carried it except for DirectTV Stream. Again, one option--in addition to DirectTV satellite. If Fubo is getting it, I'll likely be dropping DTV. Also, cable and satellite are long term contracts, so if somebody signed up when the RSN was carried and then it was dropped they were screwed. The month-to-month streaming options again are WAYYY better for the consumer.
  5. Most of the time nobody gets hurt and there isn't even an accident...this time there was.
  6. That PFF trading mechanism is completely out of whack. I traded Rodgers for Garrett Wilson AND all of the Jets picks. Needless to say, the draft turned out pretty good. In think I ended up with Will Levis, Mayer, and Brian Branch in addition to getting Garrett Wilson...
  7. Meh. Not exactly Babe Ruth.
  8. But it's just re-hashed stuff from regular threads the past few weeks! So instead of keeping topics together and nice and organized where discussion about something is in one place things just get scattered into chaos of multiple threads forcing people to re-read and re-post the same information....and any new information or ideas or thoughts get get lost in the shuffle. It's ridiculous. I used to be able to keep up with almost everything posted here because it was organized so well. In order to do that now I'd have to read twice as much stuff of the same stuff in order to get the one or two posts that is interesting/new info/new posts that have something to say.
  9. Half the topics on the main forum are "articles" yet there is no new information in these articles...it's just longer, re-hashed versions of regular threads with fewer responses and views. Please put articles in a separate "articles" sub-forum.
  10. Is he enough of an upgrade over Brosseau and Toro to be worth going after for the wrong price?
  11. To take your question literally, it's been 12 years...trading the farm for Greinke and Marcum and holding onto Fielder up until free agency. That was fun...but the last 5 years and next 5 years is way more fun...if it isn't it's only cuz...somehow...Brewer fans are...spoiled???? that cant be...
  12. Would Mitchell, Ruiz, Ethan Small and maybe Russell Smith be enough to pry Bryan Reynolds away from the Pirates?
  13. Wong and Box are really the only interesting cases. The others should be compared to the FA market. Box should be nearly a no-brainer to retain at $3M. He's been nails. Wong is probably gone...too many errors for a defense first 2B....just very little upside there, even if the downside is relatively high as well...it's just not high enough after what I've seen with his glove this year. Wrong side of 32 for Wong next year.

  15. If lockdown, absolute historically great stud relievers aren't worth very much, then I'd hope Stearns could trade for guys like Seranthony Dominguez, Emmanuel Clase, Jonathan Hernandez and Camilo Doval rather than Matt Bush and Trevor Rosenthal.
  16. LOL. I actually like Melvin too (more than most in BF past, anyway), but Stearns is light-years better than old Dougie. As others have stated, why is "the deadline" important? Stearns has proven to make great deals and signings throughout the year. Adames, Urias, Lauer, Renfroe, Yelich, Tellez, Narvaez, Caratini....pretty much the entire team is here because of his moves, and this team should make the playoffs for the 5th straight year.
  17. I still think DFAing Suter should have been the move. Lamet might still have a future while Suter is purely a scrub/mop-up guy about to turn 33. He's likeable though, and a great clubhouse guy. Which might make him a great bullpen coach or clubhouse advisor or something.
  18. All I can figure is that the bullpen IS more flexible now. Hader's demanding to only be used in the 9th in save situations was pretty annoying...especially when he has 2-5 games where he completely blows up. We can't afford that in October.
  19. If it was only about Ruiz and Gasser, it seems like this move could have been made in the offseason and we could have kept Hader for the rest of this season's run. Oh well. Hopefully Rogers is a stud.
  20. No, it's the 40 man. However, McCalvy cleared it up with the service time explanation.
  21. I don't understand. We value Jonathan Davis, Trevor Kelley, Jason Alexander and Peter Strzelecki on the 40 man more than Dinelson Lamet? Heck, Perdomo, Milner and Suter seem vulnerable too...
  22. I was never a big fan of Luke Pat
  23. good point?
  24. Ugh. Watson is fine, but I don't like the trade one bit. Vikes will prolly take Pierce or Pickens who might be better than Watson anyway AND get another starting caliber guy.
  25. #53 Pickens/Watson/Tolbert/Mafe/Ojabo #59 Kinnard/Salyer/Jurgens/D Jackson/Nik Bonitto #93 Jelani Woods #132 Tyquon Thornton/Velus Jones/Bo Melton
