  1. Personally, I would want the draft to go like this: A. Bradley for 12th, and Barnes/Gray for 15th. But I think that the Brewers are gonna pick 1 arm and 1 bat.
  2. I'd want a HS arm for 12th and a college player 15th (an arm, preferably). I hope the Brewers aren't gonna be too frugal in the draft. Because the farm system is pretty barren right now, I hope they start spending a lot on draft prospects
  3. Hall sounds really promising! By the way, does anyone have a scouting report on him?
  4. If the Brewers draft Archie Bradley, then they would draft him 12th because of his high asking price
  5. Guerrieri definitely sounds like a good idea for the 12th pick. Already hitting 98, with room to grow, and with a plus breaking ball
  6. I don't like the Jungmann pick at all. I've heard too many times that he's a mid-rotation starter. The Brewers have plenty of mid-bottom-rotation starters in the farm system. They need frontline starters.
  7. Agreed. I don't agree with the "draft the college guys because they come up through the system faster" philosophy. I'd prefer that the Brewers draft high-upside HS players.
  8. What do you think of Amir Garrett? I heard that he's still very raw, but a 6'6 lefty with mid-90s fastball seems very promising in my opinion.
  9. According to Jim Callis, Bundy is looking for 6 years and 30 mil. Do you see him falling in the draft because of his asking price? And I wouldn't be surprised if Lindor isn't available by the time the Brewers pick, with SS with great defense is tough to find
  10. Hey Colby, if the Brewers were to draft a prep pitcher, then who do you see them drafting?
  11. I'm thinking prep pitcher for 12th, and someone like Mikie Mahtook for 15th.
  12. What would you guys think if the Brewers draft Guerrieri 12th and Meyer 15th?
  13. I really hope that Bundy falls to the Brewers. If not then Guerrieri will be a good pick as well. Archie Bradley would also be a good pick, if the Brewers can and are willing to sign him, though.
  14. How was Braun and Fielder? They haven't been hitting much lately, and I'm wondering if they hit at all today
  15. I've heard that Rivera can become a plus defender at SS, but his only problem is hitting. I believe he's gonna improve, considering that he's only 19. The Brewers need plus defense on the infield and Rivera can provide one if he can hit
  16. but can he take on the workload of a starter? Can he have better command? Rogers has great stuff but he still has some question marks on him. Those questions I mentioned will be crucial in determining whether he's gonna be a starter or a reliever
  17. Rogers is healthy for now, but he has a lot to prove
  18. How about a pitcher 12th and SS 15th? Personally I would prefer having pitchers for both 12th and 15th but I'm well aware that the Brewers also need a SS
  19. But because there is no guarantee that Greinke's gonna sign in Milwaukee long term, I think that the Brewers should stock up on arms. There's gonna be a lot of pitchers in the 1st round who have great talent, and it'll be a shame to miss drafting them. Are bats needed? of course! But buying bats is easier than buying arms, and growing arms drafted from the 1st round would put the Brewers on solid foundation in terms of the farm system. As for defense, yes it's tougher to find them in the market, but with great pitching, the defense would only have to be average, right?
  20. How does Lindor at 12 and Goodwin at 15 sound? We get better defensively, really toolsy, and address the two spots vacated by the Greinke trade while not reaching for either. Then we can go after some high quality HS pitching later in the draft (especially because the upper minors have a good mix of sleepers with upside). Any guys we should be looking at in the 2nd or 3rd round? I'd rather get the pitchers first. Even though the upper minors have guys with upside, there's really no guarantee that they'll turn out well. I mean most of these guys are projected to be mid- bottom of the rotation starters. There's some good pitching talent in the draft and it's better to get the pitchers early and then settle for the position players later. Usually the guys at the 1st round are the guys with the most upside. I'd rather see the Brewers go after high upside pitchers instead of position players
  21. I think the Brewers should get a shortstop in the later rounds, or maybe they should get an international ss by the way, an interesting pick for the Brewers would be Dylan Bundy. A HS pitcher with low-90s heat with a hard curveball at 79, according to Baseball Beginnings. Similar to Covey, but hopefully without the diabetes. Also would be cheaper than Archie Bradley, I think other pitchers of interest: Michael Kelly, Jose Fernandez, Robert Stephenson
  22. if the Brewers do draft Bradley, then I will be both thrilled and worried. Thrilled because I know he is a talented pitcher, worried because I know he'll demand a lot of money, possibly more than the Brewers are willing to pay him
  23. I'm interested on what Thornburg and Nelson can do. I'm also interested in if Arnett can come back from a disaster season
  24. so are there any international players that the Brewers should consider signing? Any eye-opening players in places like Cuba, Mexico, and beyond?
  25. how about getting Barnes, Henry Owens, and Dillon Maples through the span of the 1st and early 2nd round? And which is more likely: getting Barnes, Jungmann, or Archie Bradley for the 12th pick?
