  1. ....and Yuni. Don't remind me http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. That's another SS down. That leaves Rollins and Furcal.
  3. According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, Fielder is not a target for the Nats. If that is true, then I hope Toronto gets him.
  4. Calm down... The Brewers still have Braun, Weeks, and Hart. They still have an above average rotation. This team will not go into the dark ages again.
  5. I would personally have preferred it if the Nats signed Fielder but I would be fine with Toronto signing him too. At least the difference in draft spots will be minimal and the Brewers won't have to face him often, if at all.
  6. Which would you rather draft: Albert Almora or Nick Williams?
  7. I'm hoping that the Nats can top this offer.
  8. One player I'm interested in that the Brewers could get later in the 1st round or in the supplemental round is Kyle Zimmer. He seems to have a good fastball that reaches 97 and backs it up with a power curve. If the Brewers get the pick from Washington from Fielder, I would hope that Walker Weickel would fall to the Brewers at pick #16, but if he doesn't, then Joey Gallo or Lucas Sims would do as well.
  9. Ah, I didn't read carefully. Didn't realize that you said the first TWO rounds.
  10. The Brewers potentially have 5 picks, not 6 (2 from Fielder, 2 from K-Rod, 1 original). And this time around the draft seems to have a plethora of HS players.
  11. I also hope that the Brewers spend some of their multiple draft picks on HS pitchers, but what I'm afraid of is that due to the new CBA, the Brewers may focus more on safe college players (as there may be a greater chance that HS players may refuse to sign and go to college instead).
  12. I dont think the brewers will make a run for him. They rarely ever make a splash in the international market.
  13. PLEASE tell me you are joking. he has good strikeout numbers but how in the world is that a good deal. marcum is an above average major league starter at the very least. cole is a pretty good prospect but he is still probably 2-3 years away. I'm not saying that the brewers should trade marcum for cole straight up, i'm asking if it would be possjble to have cole as a part of a package.
  14. Do any of you guys think it'll be possible to pry A.J Cole from the Nats by trading Marcum and maybe another prospect?
  15. The only way the picks the Brewers would get for Prince would make up for the pick lost from Reyes is if someone from the bottom half of the draft would sign Prince. If that doesn't happen then the Brewers would get the 2nd round pick. And I think it'll be much better to have a 1st round pick rather than sticking to a 2nd round pick. As for K-Rod, the Brewers would need to offer arby first, and then K-Rod would have to decline that arby. If the Brewers don't offer arby, then they don't get any picks. And as for Reyes, I believe he's looking for a multi-year deal. I wouldn't necessarily mind if he has proven to be durable, but that's not the case. What's the point of shelling out a 6-year deal if he can't stay healthy? I really wouldn't mind signing Barmes to a 1 or 2 year deal because if something goes wrong, he won't stay long. I know that there aren't any immediate replacements in the minors, but it'll be just as bad stuck with an injured SS while having no replacements.
  16. I'm a little iffy on the idea of the Brewers going after Sizemore due to him being very injury prone.
  17. I think KC is also looking to trade for a starter, so if the Brewers are thinking about trading Marcum to KC, maybe they can trade him for Cheslor Cuthbert if they're looking for an infielder, or Mike Montgomery or Danny Duffy if they're looking for a pitcher.
  18. If I was DM, then I wouldn't trade Axford unless there is an absolutely mind-blowing offer that I just can't refuse.
  19. I hope Seid guessed right on this draft, considering that there were seemingly better players still left on the board, such as Barnes, Gray, and Guerrieri (best player available philosophy?). Arnett turned out to be a fiasco and Covey isn't doing well in college. I don't have an optimistic view on Jungmann with his mechanics and his lack of stuff. I'm more optimistic on Jed Bradley, but I heard that his slider will need a lot of work.
  20. I wouldn't mind the Brewers signing Rodon, Amaral, and McFarland and passing on Jungmann because although Jungmann is very polished and is a quick-to-the-majors kind of guy, he profiles as a mid-rotation starter. Considering that the Brewers will get more draft picks when Fielder leaves and if the Brewers offer arby to K-Rod, along with their original pick for the 2012 draft, passing on Jungmann would only add to an already seemingly bountiful draft. However, I think there is a 99% chance that Jungmann signs.
  21. I hope Keller turns things around soon. I know he's very raw and is gonna be quite a project, but it's a little concerning that he's struggling like this.
  22. I also certainly like the 2011 draft rather than the 2010 draft with the balance of high school and college talent. Both Lopez and Reed bring upside to the system while Bradley and Jungmann, if signed, would bring polish. I hope they mange to sign Rodon as well. On another note, I can't wait until the discussions about the 2012 draft begins.
  23. I hope the Brewers start going after young talent rather than just focusing on college pitchers simply for their polish. They took the right step by drafting Lopez, Reed, and Rodon. I do see the reason on focusing on college players(to stabilize a mostly abysmal farm system by drafting polished players), but at some point they should take some risk on high school players in the early rounds to add some great upside to the system.
  24. My wish list in terms of the draft picks: Jungmann Bradley Lopez Reed Rodon
