Honestly the Reds worry me more than the Cardinals do. You talk about how our lineup is going to be without Prince, I think Pujols had an even bigger effect on St.Louis. Wainwright won't be the same right away when he comes back and Carp will be a little bit older. After that in their rotation I see just a bunch of average starters. The reds are the team that really scare me this year. Solid Rotation, Solid lineup and solid bullpen. -
If someone like this existed don't you think he would have been signed by now?

I have a question that I've been thinking quite a bit about lately. Why did we win the posting fee? We don't have a scout in Japan. Plenty of teams do, yet none of them decided to post any higher than us? to me thats a red flag. Not to be a downer, I still like the move.

I could definately see this. If Aramis doesn't start off hot, especially with Braun out I think alot of people will be gunning for him. I think people are planning on him replacing Prince solely. Which is unfair

I like this move and love the club option part, assuming the finances arent totally crazy. If he does end up becoming a solid player having him for 3 years will be awesome. looks like our outfield is set for the next 2 years, including backups

Disagree completely. I'd be all for only having a white home and gray road jersey. I don't like colored jerseys such as the current blue alternates or the gold one. I would prefer to have any alternates be the throwback variety honoring the past i.e. Ball in glove logo home and away or Negro club tributes. Call me old fashioned, but I just prefer the simplicity of the Yankees or Dodgers with generally only wearing 2 jerseys, a home and away. See this would be where we differ than cause I love the stand out jerseys across the league. The Giants orange, the Royals baby blue, The Rays baby blue, The A's yellow, The Orioles Orange. So on and so forth lol

I think this would be awesome although does anyone know Aoki's #'s against lefties in japan. I would believe he would be decent just cause of his style of hitting

I hope its true we sign him. I expect a decent avg/obp guy which would be great in late innings when we need base runners

I for one loved the camo hats. i actually own one. the 4th of july hats though usually suck unless they correspond with the teams normal uniform colors. And I like the Yellow jerseys cause it brings something a little different. To me blue and gray and white are just boring after they get used. I dont mind a 4th or 5th alternate because as long as they don't overuse them

What do you think the Brewers could get in a trade for the guy? I know he had a decent season last year but I am by no means sold on the guy and think this is the perfect sell high opportunity. I know it won't happen but what about trading Wolf to replace some of the missing farm system and signing Oswalt to a 1 year contract? Would that make any sense?

I could definately see it being Corey Hart if he gets off to a slow start. Maybe Gamel to depending on how he plays. To me it will have a lot to do with who just under performs and RRR's refusal(warranted or not) to play somebody else. For me I guarentee itll be Wolf if he starts slow. I wanna trade Wolf now although I know that won't happen and if he struggles I am going to be frustrated. What about a dark horse candidate like Brooks Conrad if he steals pt from Gamel?

I like the signing. It seems like good depth. If he does end up making our bench out of spring training he is definately the type of guy that I would pinch hit when the other team brought out a lefty specialist to face Gamel or Morgan or Aoki. -
I like the move. My hope is he is the backup at short only really with little time at 2nd and 3rd as I hope Green is the main guy there although I wouldnt mind Izturis coming in for ARAM or Weeks late in a game for defense

I am a big fan of this move assuming we can get either a 2/5 or 3/7 type deal out of him. I would love him as a 4th of and starter when someone eventually gets hurt

I wouldn't mind it but I dont know if you can depend on the guy either. He is ten years older than Gonzalez and people complain about his age. I think he would be a good back up to have though.

What about a Wandy for Wolf trade. To me it makes perfect sense. We get a solid pitcher for 3 more years and they get an expiring in Wolf that they wont have to pay in 2 years. I especially would do this if we don't think Greinke will re sign, although I wouldn't make this trade if it would hinder our chances at that

I like the move. obviously Mcgehee has a shot to bounce back, but IMO his previous track record shows hell never be that 100 rbi guy again. I like Veras and would like him to take the 7th inning role when needed.

I honestly became a big fan of Loe's in the 2nd half. He is a ground ball machine it seems and can be used in situations where such is needed. For example I was at a game where he came in against the cubs(K rods home debut) with the bases loaded and no outs and was able to wiggle out of it because of his uncanny talent to have them hit the ball on the ground

I totally agree with this statement. Plus I'm a big believer in once you get to the playoffs anything can happen so I am all for this signing.

I personally am a big fan of this signing. Him and Furcal are both way better than Yuni. And Gonzalez should be cheaper than Furcal by a decent margin which should allow us to continue spending. Fill in the bench spots and the bullpen
