    the problem as a hitter is that in the first inning for Gallardo at least, he wasn't being given the outside at all. It's the inconsistency that is tough to deal with.

    yeah, no way the Cards under LaRussa will allow this year's team to fall into last. Some interesting thoughts: In spite of an 11-6 record, the top of the order for the Crew doesnt have a player over .240: Weeks: .188 Hardy: .200 Braun: .235 Fielder: .237 Only 6 teams in MLB have 6 or fewer losses, and 3 of them are in the NL Central.

    all you need to do is listen to one conference from Ned after ANY game. Pick ANY, win or lose. You will understand what is meant by condescending. If its a win, its "yeah I told you this and that, and it worked". If it's lose, it's "you dont know what I know"

    Mota is getting way too much of the plate and getting away with it. He needs to find the ump's strike zone.

    they shouldnt put in Gagne here. He has pitched too much lately to pitch here in a non-save situation. Could need him several innings from now, might not be a point in using him at all.

    him being slow with the hook last year usually meant a couple of runs score first..

    Soup was definitely cruising. The bloop single changed nothing. At 85 pitches and wanting to save the pen, no reason for such a quick hook imo. If we hadn't seen the last 5 pitches fail to finish the 7th, I wouldnt be complaining.
