  1. dont worry, i found it bob: http://psythik.net/pics/yousuckattheinternet.jpg
  2. without ever seeing him take an AB, let me go on record as saying he cant get to the bigs soon enough. My hope is for 1 or 2 games at each level and a mid-August callup. Anything to get Jenchkins off the field.
  3. today we lost 2 games and the starters..who arent the ace..logged 'quality starts'.. and they lost..
  4. I had similar thoughts.. consider earlier today: -Brewers were coming off a huge victory with tons of hits -Brewers had eaten into the Cards bullpen last night, facing a doubleheader -Brewers bullpen was fresh -Brewers had a 3 game lead in the standings -Brewers had a 6-run lead -Parra had a low pitch count well into the game with a big lead -Cards starter got pulled in the fourth, in spite of their lack of relief help -LaRussa got ejected -Game 2 Crew would face an 0-10 pitcher -Game 2 starts Cappy, who has started to pitch well lately -Cubs had to fact red-hot Reds -Cubs had to face red-hot Harang This had all the makings of a phenomenal Saturday
  5. from the TV vantage, it looked like Counsell gave up on the little flare that went over his head. It seemed to hang & drop not too far behind him. I thought he had a play on it.
  6. let Parra go 7 if possilble. The pen has been overworked lately
  7. my thoughts exactly. Was just thinking if both players are on the bench with the game on the line, who would you rather pinch hit, Parra or Jenks?
  8. yeah its just amazing that it happened right around 100 pitch count and the 3 pitches were all in the same spot right at the Brewers best hitter.
  9. I think the Crew will be fine with 6. I'd like to see more just to waste Cardinals pitchers. Meanwhile Parra is at a respectable 61 pitches through 4. Hopefully he goes 7.
  10. the hit was actually good...like he said, please use that approach a little earlier.. if the pitcher throws it in the dirt, Jenks would have K'd
  11. it almost looked like the one pitch hit him. Then his next several pitches were also way inside.
  12. I'm watching the game and was wondering where it missed.. that was why I checked Gameday for their take on it.
  13. Miles gets a walk: http://www.loansifter.com/miles.gif
  14. MLB Gameday has my thoughts exactly. They showed one of Parra's pitches going through the middle of the strike zone for a ball.
  15. it hit the lower part of the OF wall to those on radio.
  16. Tony's in trouble. Wasted all the garbage pitchers yesterday. Starter is already about done and its the 4th inning, with another game left today. This is gonna be a fun day.
  17. holy pitch count. 80 pitches and Thompson is still in the third inning
  18. I had heard JJ had some significant back pain right around the beginning of his slump. His speed and hitting numbers have been pretty bad since the first 2 months. He needs as much rest as the Brewers can afford to give him.
  19. I didnt get that impression at all. He was excited about the Brewers, raving about Braun and all the youth, but when pressed about why he said 'we' in regards to the Brewers, he said whatever team Jr is on is 'we'. He just said that Jr's name had been floating around in trade talks, so he was prepared to switch loyalties if that was the case, and said it was quite possible considering the outfield logjam. A lot of the clip was about whether the Crew could hold off the Cubs. The consensus that the talent was there, but not enough experience and they wondered how they'd handle the end of the season. Gwynn said that Sheets being gone really hurts their chances.
  20. I think it was pretty entertaining. Gwynn Sr calls the Brewers "we" and gets flak for it. Are the Brewers Playoff Bound? Couldnt figure out how to link directly to the video, but its a pretty big placement right now.
  21. He was pulled early along with Kroeger without injury during a game last night?
  22. Hardy is not out because he has sucked lately.. he has sucked lately, because he should have been sitting out if the Brewers could have afforded it. He's been playing through pain & nagging injuries.
  23. I dont see why that quote would lead people to think the Brewers won't deal. It's just stupid to think the Brewers are going to give up their studs, who are already playing at a really high level, and who are dirt cheap with a lot of contract left. It's pie in the sky talk right now, and obviously Melvin isn't dumb enough for that. The Brewers young infielders are pretty much untouchable, as well as Gallardo and Villanueva. You could make an argument for unloading Hart or Weeks, but their trade value wouldnt be high enough to make it worthwhile and I personally wouldnt do either for a rental. I'm sure there will be better options as we near the deadline and teams are trying to recover money.
