  1. This couple used to do the schedule until 15-ish years ago… Meet The Husband And Wife Duo Behind Two Decades Of MLB Scheduling
  2. Via Will Sammon… Not a terrible series for Willy Adames against the Reds to start the second half: 8 for 13, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 6 runs, 3 walks.
  3. So I’ve never actually owned a Brewers jersey [almost buying a custom Taylor Green jersey when he made his debut was the closest I came], but the fun Adames has brought to this team is making it awfully tempting to pull the trigger on my first jersey purchase.
  4. [sarcasm]Good to see Burnes bounce back from that rough outing last time out [in the All Star Game].[/sarcasm]
  5. Even more concerned with the pair of fat pitches right in the middle of the zone that Christian didn’t do anything with today.
  6. Ahh, I missed that report… nothing to see here then folks!
  7. I expect this year’s trade deadline is going to go something like this… Rumor: “Brewers in the mix for Joey Gallo” Rumor: “Brewers also engaged in trade discussions with the Marlins for an offensive upgrade, assumed to likely be Jesus Aguilar or Garrett Cooper” Actual Trade: Brewers acquire Adam Duvall.
  8. Maybe Michael Fulmer? He’s currently coming back from a neck injury, but it sounds like he’s progressing well.
  9. Barring injuries it feels like they’ll go through the rotation twice more before we see Peralta start again. I’d guess the White Sox series next weekend will be a repeat of this weekend (Houser on Friday, Woodruff on Saturday, Burnes on Sunday). Then with the off days they could use Lauer and Anderson against the Pirates to get back to Houser/Woodruff/Burnes once again on 5 days of rest. My guess is Peralta’s next start is Sunday, August 1st against the Braves.
  10. Glad the Brewers were able to come out of the break and take this series in Cincinnati, but feeling a little greedy and hoping for the sweep today. The Brewers hitters have a combined .878 OPS against Sonny Gray in 138 career plate appearances and that number includes Avisail Garcia who is just 1-for-20 with 7 strikeouts against Gray. JBJ actually has the most hits (4) and RBI (7) against Gray among the current Brewers. Willy Adames is 3-for-6 with a HR against Gray.

  12. I keep expecting the pixie dust to wear off, but he keeps on performing. Ride it as long as it lasts. I’ve been pretty hard on Jace for going on two years now, and I have to remind myself he has nearly 1,850 MLB plate appearances at this point. Maybe something has legitimately clicked for him offensively the past two seasons, or maybe it is just indeed a hot stretch, but I’ll admit he has wildly outplayed my expectations thus far.
  13. Why not, right? He's not going to go this whole time without throwing at all.. Might as well be now. Agreed, you can’t afford to have a pitcher on the roster that isn’t going to throw at all for more than a week.
  14. Two innings and 31 pitches last night. But he might have to. Is Freddy available to pitch an inning?
