  1. Urias’ home run may prove a lot bigger than just extending this lead to 5-runs. Glad to see Josh take a seat.
  2. I’ll repeat myself, if they actually bring Hader into this game then I am truly baffled by the one inning limit thing in crucial situations. How in the world is having him pitch high leverage innings 4.5 hours apart a good idea for protecting his arm. I am really surprised they’d go down that road, especially in a 3-run game.
  3. That definition seems like it could fit 95% of relievers. They’re all going to blow up at some point.
  4. So is Hader actually available for this game? I guess I’m wrong, maybe they are willing to have a guy pitch twice in the same day. Sort of funny you wouldn’t allow Hader to throw 4 outs, but he could pitch twice in the same day 4 hours apart.
  5. Well walking the bases loaded with nobody out should increase the IGT traffic, if nothing else.
  6. I’d actually be shocked if they’d throw a reliever twice in the same day, even if he threw just a few pitches. I assume anyone who threw in the first game is just down for the day. I’d be curious to know if anyone has ever thrown in both games of these 7-inning doubleheaders (for any team)?
  7. Yes, Keith Law and I’m sure others correctly mocked Medieros to Milwaukee but it was because there were literally photos of Kodi posing at Miller Park from before the draft. Obviously guys workout at a team’s facility that ultimately get drafted by other teams, but the late signs were strong between Medieros and the Crew. The current front office seemingly keeps things much more under wraps. More on Medieros, this was how specific the reporting from two weeks before the draft got… Medeiros faced four batters on Thursday in front of scouts from the Brewers organization. The batters, who are also trying to impress scouts for an opportunity to be drafted, are either out of high school or have played on the collegiate level. Medeiros struck out two and induced two ground ball outs.
  8. Barring some fantastic late inning collapse to lose tonight, something tells me the evening thread isn’t making it to 16-pages.
  9. If nothing else Tellez certainly looks the part of a prototypical clean up hitter. The exit velocity on his base hit was an incredible 114.8 mph!
  10. Rowdy Tellez making his starting debut hitting 4th in the Brewers lineup. Lets hope for some positivity on the evening end of this day/night doubleheader.
  11. Brett Anderson: Batter (Mets) vs Pitching Stats Robert Stock: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats Statcast Game Preview for Mets-Brewers Statcast Game Feed for Mets-Brewers
  12. Per Will Sammon… Counsell said with LHBs up in the 8th, "That was Brent's inning. We just didn't get it done today." Boxberger would've pitched the next inning.
  13. Need a ground ball on the infield in the worst way here. I’m a fan of Suter’s pitching abilities, but this isn’t the ideal situation for him.
  14. Using those two and losing with a second game still upcoming would sting a little extra.
  15. Conforto was the one that took a game winning HBP in the strike zone earlier this season.
  16. Not gonna lie, bringing Devin into this situation makes me very nervous. Would prefer either Burnes or Hader pitching with runners at the corners.
  17. I used to count outs remaining in these sort of scenarios until the 2019 wild card game forever broke me of the habit.
  18. Among current Brewers, Jace Peterson had by far the most at bats against deGrom coming into today (21 AB), and now has 6 career hits against deGrom (including 2 doubles and a home run).
