  1. agreed regarding the pitching of the Cubs, but they could always trade for pitching too.
  2. also, did you notice when he was blabbing about Ortiz losing his challenge on that high fastball and confusing himself when in reality he won the challenge? he's so out of it this season.
  3. wilson and Fayetteville? who are these teams? which one are we? lol I've been following our farm system for ages and I don't know either of these teams
  4. great. several games into the season and i'll already miss a game I guess
  5. is this game not on channel 308 tonight? not seeing it on there on the guide
  6. will games be able to be recorded? I work in the wee hours of morning and rarely have the ability to watch live.
  7. Kiermaier was around that long ago? Damn I feel old. great comparison by the way
  8. what character concerns? *legit question*
  9. I don't even remember a Connor Thomas lol
  10. I feel you. It feels like everything went right this season, (at least until the dodgers series), and we still couldn't finish the job. Just feels like we're never going to win the world series...
  11. starting Jansen against the lefty snell would have absolutely been the correct call, and I would have thought so not even in hindsight. Unfortunately it's just not a Murphy-like thing to do.
  12. Per wiguy94, Uribe has been worked so hard this season to the point where his velocity is down a couple MPH. Well you know what? It's not just pitchers that get worn down. Position players do too. The season is a GRIND, and murphy rode his main guys hard.
  13. One thing about Murphy- it's not just the relievers (ashby, uribe) that he rode too hard down the stretch, it's also the three lefty hitters that are struggling. Yelich, Turang, Frelick. Those guys didn't get nearly enough days off in the regular season. Especially that 19 games in 18 days stretch or whatever that was. There was certainly opportunity to give those guys an off day here or there, and he didn't. And now they're feeling the effects of that.
  14. Agreed. It's adding insult to injury that with it being bad enough the Brewers are on the brink of elimination, our own TV play by play guy is creaming his pants with every great thing the Dodgers do this series.
  15. if Koenig doesn't pitch tonight, that tells me he's battling some minor health issue.
  16. Koenig has been the one good reliever Murphy has stayed away from for the most part this series; I'm wondering if maybe he goes multiple innings in this one?
  17. To me the book on Durbin is jam him inside with fastballs off the plate and he'll chase them. Durbin's gotta realize how pitchers are attacking him.
  18. hopefully their relievers will be rusty now when we face them in LA lol
  19. not gonna lie, I would have thought Yelich would have had Braun beat in some of these main stats.
  20. Ashby's been scuffling by his standards lately, possibly a sign of fatigue due to his heavy workload. I wouldn't feel great about throwing him out there again tonight for the third time in four days. Megill is just recently coming back from an arm injury and this would also be his third time in four days. Uribe with the high stress two innings against the Cubs the other night, and struggles last night. Wouldn't feel great about him tonight for the third time in four days.
