  1. Neither of them are overrated lol. Counsell is one of the best managers in the game.
  2. why shouldn't he be on a playoff roster?? he's an elite baserunner and defender. Theres more to the game than hitting!
  3. why would it be remembered for postseason failure? winning championships is hard. Only one team can come out on top, and we're at a significant disadvantage.
  4. I wouldn't say it's a no-brainer. 11.5 million isn't cheap, especially for a small-market team. We also have a billion OFers that need and are deserving of playing time.
  5. Idk why so many people in this thread are questioning/criticizing Counsell for the playoff losses, Counsell had nothing to do with us losing that series.
  6. Counsell had nothing to do with the playoff losses.
  7. You act like being good defensively is a bad thing, lol
  8. good call. I might just put money on Burnes under 6.5 ks
  9. Whewwww, that last out was huge in getting me big money Houser recording over 14.5 outs today. Sports betting FTW baby.
  10. I thought that was JJ Hardy in the picture and was wondering why he was wearing #6
  11. She does that often where in the middle of her rambling about something nobody cares about, an amazing play will happen, and she'll just ignore it and go on and on with her story nobody cares about. She's gotta be more observant about that.
  12. Wow. Didn't realize he was ever that fast to begin with!
  13. Ah that's right.
  14. I would like them to, but I would assume not. Remember they didn't exercise Kolten Wong's option when it seemed like the right call. Not that it's the same thing, but still.
  15. As great as Contreras has been this season, the scary thing is there's still room for improvement offensively. I feel like he pops out on pitches out of the strike zone when he's ahead in the count too often.
  16. One thing about Urias you have to remember is there's a third aspect of the game besides offense and defense. It's speed/baserunning. Urias was really lacking in that area. One of the slowest 'skinny' in-their-prime players you'll ever see.
  17. The only thing about Soto is that he's been playing through a finger injury all season. Just got an MRI on it Thursday.
  18. I really like Tommy Pham too. Just feels like he's hurt/injured often though.
  19. That article also points out that Juan Soto is a free agent after next season, so if the Padres do become sellers, although very unlikely, maybe they move him at the deadline. He would look amazing in our lineup every day!
  20. What do you mean by tacked balls being thrown in the dumpster? Pardon my ignorance but I Have no idea what that means.
  21. Out of those two, I personally prefer Perkins. To the naked eye he seems to be the better defender of the two.
