Koenig has been the one good reliever Murphy has stayed away from for the most part this series; I'm wondering if maybe he goes multiple innings in this one? -
To me the book on Durbin is jam him inside with fastballs off the plate and he'll chase them. Durbin's gotta realize how pitchers are attacking him.

not gonna lie, I would have thought Yelich would have had Braun beat in some of these main stats.

Ashby's been scuffling by his standards lately, possibly a sign of fatigue due to his heavy workload. I wouldn't feel great about throwing him out there again tonight for the third time in four days. Megill is just recently coming back from an arm injury and this would also be his third time in four days. Uribe with the high stress two innings against the Cubs the other night, and struggles last night. Wouldn't feel great about him tonight for the third time in four days.

who is even realistically available to pitch tonight besides Peralta, Koenig, Myers, and Gasser?

the brewers brass knows more than all of us about their personnel, but I just wish they would have replaced one of Collins or Lockridge with Hall or even Zastryzny. LHP LHP and more LHP vs these guys.

I like that we're opening with Ashby. Much better than having Priester start.

I'm surprised and disappointed we didn't add another lefty reliever like a DL Hall for this series at this expense of Collins or Lockridge.

Neither Collins nor Lockridge will get many at-bats regardless, may as well keep the one that can be an asset as a defensive replacement and pinch runner.

home Field advantage is so important, it's going to be crucial to do anything we can to win both home games to start the series. I would rather start Priester on the road when we're going to be heavy underdogs playing in LA as it is.

Yep. Murphy really rode Ashby hard down the stretch. I just hope he has enough juice in that arm for two more series'.

Misiorowski's slider to me just looks like a slow (for him) fastball lol. There's barely any movement on it, but it's usually effective. -
Yeah I agree. Collins has been awful for a while and barely saw the field in the NLDS. Replace him with a pitcher. (preferably Hall)

very good post, and I agree with almost all of it, with the exception being, I wouldn't start Priester in either of the first two games. Just don't trust him at all right now.

that was the home plate ump in game 5? I remember multiple bad misses by him in that one Turang at-bat off the top of my head.

hell no. he didn't make the NLDS roster in part because of his lack of ABs down the stretch in the regular season. that's even more pronounced now that he wasn't part of the NLDS roster.
