  1. Hey guys, did you know 96% of outs are a result of balls? You, know, a strike-out looking doesn't happen at all... ever.
  2. Does anyone know Wolf's pitch count? edit- nevermind I see it. 86. I'm following the new ESPN Gamecast... I've always liked the MLB.com one, but ESPN seems to work smoother with Linux. I think the animations of the base hits are much better, but nothing quite beats the pitching animations of MLB.com.
  3. Well what is there to say? "Wolf doing good..." "Wolf still doing good..." "Quick inning, Wolf's doing good".
  4. We need to make sure we don't allow any runs here, but if we do, we have to score more than they do.
  5. Why can't the Brewers ever get these dump hits against the Cardinals.
  6. Cory Patterson RBI? McGehee better hit a solo shot here.
  7. Terrible slide... a clean slide down the middle makes it no doubt. But still really bad defense by Prince.
  8. Cardinals get rewarded after two bad pitches that should have went to the wall and two line-drives that could have put a crooked number up.
  9. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h396/dlk9s/icecube.gifHe looks like Matt Damon, except an uglier version of him. Wait no one else sees it?I don't see it... Corey doesn't give himself much help though. At least he got rid of his awkward sideburn things. I think it might be harder to get rid of his tattoo of.... whatever it is.
  10. Aytumious, that's like saying a win by a quarterback who threw three picks in the first quarter is more impressive... it was his fault in the first place for giving up walks, just as it would be his fault for giving up a hit. With that logic Claudio Vargas should have won Cy Young. But an interesting way of looking at it. I do still think a 3-hit CG is more impressive and dominant.
  11. Can they stop talking about one of the worst no-hitters in the history of the MLB? He walked 8 in that 'no-hitter'. Wonderful he allowed no hits, but he still had 9 base runners... going a complete game in 149 pitches while allowing 9 runners shouldn't receive praise from opponents' announcers every time he pitches. I am certainly more impressed with a CG 3-hitter with no walks than a no-hit 8 BB performance. He averaged one base-runner per inning... which is good, but not worthy enough to receive significant praise every three innings from the Brewers. Again, I think it was a great performance, but not mentioning the stats behind it is a bit misleading.
  12. That'a boy. Take advantage of the low strike zone... not much off the corners though. I suspect we continue to see the ball pitched down. Maybe we can see Yuni golf one down low early in the count.
  13. This strike zone seems very, very low tonight. A lot of stuff down low and in the dirt. Probably going to see a lot of ground balls tonight since Jackson seems to be throwing the ball down low. Which is good for Corey, since he seems to love swinging at that slider down low.
  14. Good inning to get the pitcher leading off the 3rd. Marcum looks settled in.
