  1. I know it's probably irrelevant, but I didn't think he had a chance to catch that, and it looked like he thought it was gone. Not sure where Morgan was on the bases, but I'm surprised he didn't score.
  2. How angry would you guys be if the Brewers lose this game?
  3. Brewers will have around a 7-run lead by the time the Cardinals take the field. Not that the players follow scores, but it has to be nerve-wrecking for Cardinals fans to see their team likely playing to keep the Brewers within 9 games instead of 10.
  4. Prince really wanted to equal last night's 7-run inning. Edit: Nevermind, McGehee did it anyways.
  5. Nice bloop hit. Karma from last night! (for the record, this was on the first bloop hit!)
  6. I initially thought, "No! Who got hurt?" Then I realized the loss of day for starters. If Narveson wasn't back, I don't think we would enjoy De La Cruz on the mound.
  7. It makes me pretty happy the Brewers gain a half game on a night they lose big to the Pirates the first time in 10 games.
  8. I honestly don't think this game's over quite yet. They scored 6 in two innings already tonight. It probably won't happen, but I wouldn't be all that surprised. Okay, nevermind. This is silly.
  9. Bloop hits and close strike calls... the Yuni hit hard down the line, three balls that went off of Brewers gloves that could have been made. You can't get the bounces every game. This team has an ability to get remarkable breaks, so it's hard to get pissed off when a team is up by 9 in the division and has one bad game.
  10. Do you think some Pittsburgh fans are embarrassed when their own fans boo at something like a snap throw to third?
  11. He should've been wrung up a pitch earlier. Reward a guy for not protecting the plate, gross.
  12. This camera is making me dizzy. Seems like they show the batter longer than they should after a ball is hit. That last one, they didn't even show the pitch.
  13. Flipped to the gamecast to see him pitching to Lorenzo Cain. Man was he promising last year. And there goes the no hitter.
  14. Runner at 3rd two outs sounds a lot better than runner at 2nd with two outs. He had to check Fielder at third, so I don't think the throw would've beat Yuni at first. And we're tied.
  15. People here are really critical of Wilson. Looking quick at Baseball Reference, he's actually got higher averages than JHJ, Lopez, and Counsell in just about every category, and this is with long breaks in-between games. He's had some good defensive plays, and he's been the hero down in Florida. He plays as hard, if not harder than most of the infielders (the first batter in the first he dove at a ball he had no business fielding). He's average for the spot he's in, so I'm not going to knock him and say he's worthless after taking a bad hop off the chest.
  16. That's a play an every-day starter makes, but Wilson still recorded an out there. The Pirates needed a hit to get a runner at first, and a hit to get him home, so I wouldn't blame it solely on him. I'm not expecting much from a guy who doesn't get frequent starts.
  17. I wouldn't argue with Lucroy swinging on a 2-0 count. He should be swinging at strikes and trying to get extra base hits, especially with two outs. While its nice to clear the pitcher, I think anyone in the 8-hole shouldn't always be thinking 'walk' before each pitch.
  18. This lineup is 7-47 (avg of .149) against this guy. Morgan is 1-11, Braun 0-7, Fielder 1-7. Had two starts against us last year, went 7 innings in both. First game gave up 4 runs, second game gave up 1 run. Might be tough hitting again, so pitching needs to come back from yesterday. If it's close, look for a Kotsay hero moment (again).
  19. Sad/Happy I didn't get to watch this game. Woah.
  20. Either this umpire is a bit inconsistent or the ESPN pitch locator is way off. Had two strikes outside the zone, then two inside the zone last at bat.
