  1. The Brewers just need to get Jackson chased with a couple runs. I don't think 4 runs against this bullpen is that ridiculous. The Brewers scored 6 in one inning last game, it's certainly not out of reach.
  2. How many balls have been hit within a couple feet of a Brewers glove that haven't resulted in an out?
  3. Some of the corners seemed small in the first inning, but strikes are being called around the shin. Marcum definitely adjusted, but unfortunately he found that too late.
  4. Hitters are 14-35 with 4 walks and 13 runs against the Brewers in the first inning this postseason through 7 games. That's terrible.
  5. Bad defensive play by the pitcher and a homer to the next batter... where have I seen this before?
  6. The noise on Friday was insane. I went to game 6 when the Bucks beat the Hornets early last decade, and I think this noise was even more intense than that (and this is a much bigger stadium). I think the noise really gets to the pitchers regardless if the roof is open or closed, but I tend to agree with closing it for the extra sound bouncing off the top.
  7. I love the bandwagon comments. The Brewers had a better attendance pct than the Cardinals ( http://espn.go.com/mlb/attendance/_/sort/homePct ) despite having a smaller metropolitan area than St. Louis ( http://factfinder2.census.gov/faces/tableservices/jsf/pages/productview.xhtml?pid=DEC_10_NSRD_GCTPL2.US24PR&prodType=table ). Also, the last time I watched the Brewer vs Cardinal game in St. Louis, I was literally the only person paying attention to the game in the bar. On the way back I had to catch the rest of the game on Cardinal radio with Mike Shannon (see: http://bitsandpieces1.blogspot.com/2005/08/collection-of-shannonisms.html) and the amount of doom and gloom coming from fans calling in after the game was pretty entertaining. I guess you can't really generalize fans that call into sports talk radio, because Milwaukee gets pretty ridiculous. You don't get 3 million fans in a season by a simple band-wagon. Maybe the Brewers bandwagon started in 2006, because they've been above the NL average since then. Even non-playoff seasons of 2008,2009 had the same attendance percentages as the Cardinals... the Cardinals even won the Central in 2009 and the Brewers out-paced the Cardinals in terms of park percentage full (http://espn.go.com/mlb/attendance/_/year/2009/sort/homePct). Brewers were below 500 that year. It's not like we're the Rams who went from having a small fan base for their new franchise in St. Louis, to selling out games when they were good, to being third last in attendance (http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2010). And that's for a sport with 8 home games a year.
  8. I just want to point out that two of the next three posters wanted Uecker instead. They're not all crazy.
  9. This is the dominant K-Rod we've come to love this season. Not perfect, but no runs and hard to hit.
  10. What a tremendous at-bat. Let's also credit Yuni for the double and Gomez for the bunt to move him over. Good job from the bottom of the order to get the run back. Love this game so far.
  11. Yuni!! He's had 8+ pitch counts in 3 of his 4 AB's, been behind in each one. Nice hitting.
  12. That would be way too easy. Have you watched this team all year!? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I fully expect my heart to do summersalts until the last out.
  13. HUGE double play. We can get the run back anyways. Keep it within two for K-Rod and Ax.
  14. Saito's been the most reliable reliever for the Brewers this post-season, good to see him coming in. I can see Greinke staying in because he mowed down the Cards the last inning, worth a shot. Unfortunately it didn't work out.
  15. Good job RR for leaving Greinke in for the 6th http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
