    I never said anyone was advocating it or trying to get others to do it. I said that playful banter is one thing, but when people start making posts about when they did it and talking about it as adults like it was funny then I think you cross the line. A joke is fine as I too laughed at the first 5 or so. Just don't try to play it off telling stories like smoking it up was cool or still is, because it isn't. Let's hope that the crew "lights 'em up" tonight!

    Wow, how did a post for a baseball game turn into the dumbest post ever on brewerfan.net? I understand a little playful banter, but when people are seriously having a conversation about something illegal and putting it off as something cool that we used to do, then the conversation turns stupid. Way to be examples as adults. Just because some of you smoke or used to smoke pot, think or thought it was ok, and didn't get caught, doesn't make it right or legal for that matter. 4:20, ha ha, yeah, I was in middle school once too, get over it.

    I'm fairly new to this site too. I'm sure you'll find it very interesting and you'll love to read everyones speculations and opinions. Glad to have you aboard and congrats to your son. Hopefully he'll be a fine addition to our club someday! ~Wally

    I agree SoCal, High Desert is probably the best place to start him. Beloit is cold in April. I don't know how I used to play in it myself. I certainly remember having my hands sting a lot! Many players struggle in cold weather and I don't think we want him starting off in a slump of any kind. That is one thing that is really nice about Miller Park, no more having to go to opening day with a winter coat and gloves! But yeah, I agree with Brian, I don't think there is any chance we'll see him this year. Possibly in an instructional league but I don't think he'll do that even. I definitely don't have any info on that but it's just my guess. As much as I'd love to watch him in Beloit next year I'm thinking the chances aren't going to be very good. I would expect him to start in High Desert and move up to AA mid-season next year to be in the second wave of prospects to come to milwaukee. Who knows what they haven't mind. We'll probably get a better view of the situation once he signs. ~Wally

    Does anyone know what Rickie Weeks was offered last weekend? When are we going to sign this guy? I thought the plan was to have him sign early and have him catch up to the Huntsville Crew by the end of the year. There has to come a point where we say screw waiting for Delmon Young to sign and just sign the guy, even if it costs us an extra 500k or so. I want to see this guy play! Any news?
