  1. That's a very good idea. He does need the reps. Many of the drills that catchers do can be done anywhere. EDIT: The rest of this original post has been moved to the Angel thread I have created.
  2. Promote these guys already! The guy is a hitting machine! He can work on his D in WV just as much as he can in Helena.
  3. This is getting rediculas. Carlos Villanueva needs to be promoted. As does the Grand Salome. Even Katin.
  4. We always seem stuck between 3-6 games below .500. I was thinking the exact same thing. I was thinking that the Brewers really need to win tomorrow to keep making forward strides. Every time they seem like they are getting there they lose 5 of 7 or something to knock themselves down.
  5. Wow, down 2 and you put in Eveland and then you yank him without letting him work himself out of that situation. I would have liked to see him get out of it himself.
  6. We still have the Grand Branyan on the bench to knock in a Kieshesque walk off 3-run dong. It's happening my friends. I have one of those almanac magazines like Marty McFly had in "Back to the Future".
  7. I think this is a very good situation to put Dana in. If he pitches well the Brewers can come back and he can get the win. Cordero is due to get bombed. You heard it here first. Dana gets his first major league W tonight folks! EDIT: Make that...you heard it here second! Darn it.
  8. Luck - When preparation meets opportunity.
  9. You're not kidding. Let's find out who pitches the best tonight...I'm rootin for Ty.
  10. Say "hi" to BB for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif You do know he's my evil twin right?
  11. I agree with you actually...it was just a very bad day for me. I'm off to a fresh start. I appreciate the nice response though.
  12. Brian and the rest of the staff were gracious enough to reinstate me. Shoeless Joe Jackson is protesting. Personally, I may have taken the cheese sandwhich over myself too! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  13. Frankly, if I had to choose between bjamesw22 and cheese sandwiches, I'd go with the latter any day. Ouch, how about bjamesw22 and Wes Helms being kept as Yosts personal sidekick?
  14. Oh, so you can dish it out but can't take it...I see. Everyone else can insult me, but when I come back at them they cry foul. Ok. If you actually look back at the beginning of the thread I started the tread and 3 people came after me before I even posted again. I'm sorry, but I'm going to defend myself.
  15. he was associated with our program several years ago. I don't belief he was a roster player, but did spend most of the pre-season with us. The pre-seasons IS September-February. Are you reading anything I say? I'm sorry to say, but even being with the team from Sept-Feb, you participate in EVERY drill the team does. Things YOU didn't learn from playing beer league softball.
  16. Actually, I was in High School, Junior Olympic, and College athletics. Starters receive individual training, workouts, and coaching, especially compared to non-starters. Your blatant ignorance and continual self-aggrandizing behavior is laughable. I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Calling me blatantly ignorant is uncalled for. I have not insulted you. Don't insult me.
  17. Does this make you better than everyone here? Answer that question. Never said it did. But I do have an insight into the game that 95% of the people on this site do not.
  18. On the other hand, I've been laughing for 2 days at this thread and it has nothing to do with baseball, bill ball or soriano. It's all you BJ, THANK YOU> The funny thing is, I'm laughing at you people too! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smokin.gif
  19. No, they don't learn the same information, as the amount of time spent with a starter varies drastically with that of someone who will never see the field. Someone who will never see the field will receive the minimum amount of coaching possible. It isn't Little League where the coach has to make sure everyone is treated fairly. Wow is that ever false. They are called team and position drills. The starters don't go out and do different things than the people who don't start. You have no idea what you're talking about.
  20. September through February 2000-2003. Practiced EVERY day with the team, scrimmages, lifting, running. What's your point? Does that make me know less than if I was a starter on the team? I participated in every drill they do, I caught every pitcher they had including Brady Endl, Kevin T, and Greg R whom is from my hometown, I participated in film, EVERYTHING except games. You still never answered my question.
  21. The newly found Bill Hall love by some here needs to stop. The guy has had a 10 game hot streak and people want to move him to the 2 and 3 hole in the lineup for good?!? The guy is a very poor man's Soriano. And Soriano barely hits well enough to hold his place at 2b. The only reason he doesn't is because he refuses to move. Bill Hall is just as bad defensively as Soriano and he's NOT a good hitter. It's like how everyone was saying Cirillo was going to produce like he did 5 years ago because he started the year good. I said Cirillo would come back down to earth and put up his robust .600 OPS...which he has, and now I will say that Bill Hall will come down to earth and hit his .240...which he will. The ONLY value Hall has is that he can play multiple positions...other than that he's junk. Don't let 2 weeks of ball pull the wool over your eyes people.
  22. Unbelieveable....Billy Hall Nothing like seeing ONE PITCH!!! How he is a major league baseball player is beyond me. What is Yost thinking!?! A SINGLE gets a runner in!!! What a HORRIBLE coaching decision.
  23. Cult? The cult of squarepusher is right. He worships at the church of Khalid Ballouli. He's like Brian's personal buddah. How many strikeouts for Khalid tonight Brian? I'm going to predict Capellan and Rogers give up 0 runs tonight in their respective outtings with good strikeout totals. It's time for some domination!
