    Some what relevant but my favorite headline along these lines was from an Arkansas/USC football game. Nutt replaces Johnson with (Casey)Dick verses (Game)Cocks (Casey) and (Game) added by me, they did not appear in the original headline

    At this point the Brewers are playing with house money when it comes to McClung. I would fully expect him to a .500 pitcher for the rest of the year, but from where he came from that would be great. Dave Bush still remains the closest to being pushed out the door as he was in the beginning of the year, who would have thought that SM would have jumped him in line. I think Seth's success is the exact opposite of Tim Dillards. Where Tim was average at best as a starter trying to hit spots and pitch. Now as a reliever he can just go out there and throw which suits him better. As a reliever, Seth would try to throw the ball through the catcher which lead to alot of walks. Now that he is a starter he has to pull it back a bit and pitch.

    I like how the reporter also makes it seem like any team is going to give the Mets prospects for him. If anything I could see a low A ball guy and cash.

    Unlike Justice, there is nothing to be gained for TH, AW or AM to report about "bad vibes" or chemistry issues in the clubhouse. For one thing there is no way to prove it so it comes off as hearsay and secondly it would only tick off the players and they might start giving the cold shoulder to said writers and restricting access to them.

    Of course Jewelry ads bother me. According to them if you dont buy your wife diamonds for every stupid holiday both recognized and Hallmark you are a worthless and loveless husband. You never see commercials saying that wives should buy us men new golf clubs/video games/tools for the same holidays.

    In Madison Brunner Reality has a radio commercial featuring "Little Ron"(Little John). It actually pains me to hear it. Any commercial that takes a phrase or fad and uses it in its ad campaign months or a years after that fad is gone just bothers me. The drug commercials get me too, they advertise a drug to cure something that would be helpful to be cured of but at most is just a nuisance(Restless leg syndrome etc). When they get to the side effects they list things that to me are more fearful then living with what I had. Of course the side effect of death is a good one but my favorite is the side effect of a drug being "rare occasions of sleep walking or driving with no recollection of said event."

    Like others have said, it is also the same reason pitchers have trouble with intentional walks. Its hard to dial it back and throw it soft.

    I have no idea how the rules work down there, but I thought there were innings limits on pitchers in high school. If he threw 111 pitches I would imagine that he went 7 innings. You would think he would be ineligible to pitch the next game. Maybe I am way off here, but it just seemed odd.

    I also have taken it upon myself to tie my 2 yr old daughters right arm behind her back to develop her left arm. Wife was an all conference pitcher, so we are going to teach her to pitch at an early age. My wife just hopes she enjoys the game and I am hoping she gets a scholarship, different strokes I guess. Congrats on the new kid, and congrats on the vast amounts of new time that you will be able to post on here. You will be up all the time for the next couple months.

    To be fair only about 5% of people that read the paper for Brewer news care about the minor league prospects, they only care about the current team. You have to remember they have to write to the majority then the minority which pretty much everyone that posts on here is in. Talking about prospects in to some extent on par with talking about recruiting. The totally dedicated love it and want as much info as possible, which would be the 5%, everyone else only cares about who is being recruited when they get to camp and could possibly make an impact.

    Due the other reasons I stated I am pretty sure they(Tom and Tony) aren't fans of doing these chats, mail bags etc. Again to be fair, pretty much all the writers(Potrykus, Crispin, etc) that do the chats have the same condescending responses.
