  1. That one must be on Weeks since he was the only one who could see it all.
  2. Way to go Benny! Billy deep to right center coming!
  3. I have a good vibe about this game! And Overbay is very close to breaking out again as I see some line drives today!
  4. I loved el caballo's juke at the pitcher right before he served it up to Helms!
  5. Good depth batman! When AZ was in the WS, Bob Melvin said Midre Cummings can hit line drives off of any ML reliever. The Brewers bring him in the next year and Cummings hits around .350 in spring training but Taylor keeps the red hot Alex Sanchez. I thought a line drive hitter would be perfect on a team where everyone was swinging for the fences or missing. Maybe a team who gave 32 yr old Brady Clark a chance will look at another young 30's hitter who is gaining loft on his line drives. FYI: Here are some numbers the last two years and this yr: ....G..AB..H..2B..3B..HR..RBI..BB..SO..SB..OBP..SLG..OPS 03: 114,385,98,22,2,19,54,40,86,1,.328,.470,.798 04: 119,414,118,26,3,27,89,86,107,13,.408,.558,.966 05: 10, 43, 16, 2, 0, 4, 8, 2, 9, 0, .400, .698, 1.098 I am wondering what the Orioles will do with him but it interesting having a hitter thought of so highly by a ML manager sits in the minors when so many teams need hitting. It will be an interesting watch.
  6. Here are the stats of a Brewer cut by Dean Taylor who kept Alex Sanchez instead of. A player Bob Melvin said could hit any reliever in MLB. Just got back from a broken finger but came out hitting once again. I sure wish the Brewers had more hitters like Midre Cummings: Midre Cummings: Individual Stats (Batting) Team From To G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG Ottawa Lynx 04/07 06/07 8 36 6 16 2 0 4 8 30 2 8 0 1 .474 .833 .444
  7. Hit n Run to perfection! Now let's get them in! Wow Jenks is ahead on the count!
  8. Long story short: I was delayed flying down to my dad's place in Fla at the Innisbrook golf resort. We missed our tee time by 30 minutes so we went off the back nine. When we got to the tee there was a group on the tee. A little guy, David Wells, Roger Clemens and Jeff Weaver. We talked it up with them and the only one friendly at all was Wells. The cocktail girl told us they were not tipped once by them. Clemens can really hit it, Wells didn't look like a slob on the golf course and Weaver had absolutely no personality. A bit of a brush with fame but not worth it so.... Let's get after Weaver!
  9. I'm glad I went to bed when it was 3-0. I hate west coast games Tivo it and watch it fast forward in the morning!
  10. I bet you we could get SD interested in a trade for Jenks. That is if the Crew wants to go that way. He's putting on a defensive show and pounding the ball!
  11. New pitcher so let's end this homestand with a rally!
  12. How come Cirillo didn't tag up?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/nerd.gif
  13. Way to go Wes! Yost stayed with Wes: Good move! Yost didn't think Adams was the answer: Right Yost saw something in Turnbow: Great Yost is giving Billy Hall some AB's Now let's win this for Ben!
  14. Way to go Chad then thanks for helping Ben out Palmairo. 80 pitches do you give him another inning? They said 80-90 pitches!
  15. Too many holes in this lineup but I feel good about this game. The crew is going to come back as Ben gets another inning.
  16. The Spivey-Moeller-Sheets grouping might be a bit of a confidence boost for the kid!
  17. Alright Ben way to mow down the bottom of the lineup. Now let's get our bottom to get some runs!
  18. I think O is going to break out of it today and hit the ball hard a couple of times. He worked that count pretty good and missed a pitch he shouldn't have. He will hit one of those off speed breaking balls today is my prediction!
  19. We need some runs! Rust! Too many similar pitches. Wait on the 94 mph straight fastball. Let's get some runs!
  20. Interesting commercial from Yost on tmj where he says: Everyone knows in baseball you put your best hitter in the third spot, yada yada yada. Someone should ask him if Jenkins is his best hitter?
  21. Not to take away the anti O reversed mojo but I am glad they left him in vs a lefty tonight since he says he concentrates more against a lefty that helps his overall approach. His at bat vs Franco last night was way too over aggressive for him. The first pitch he was going to swing at anything. Then why throw him a strike since he was behind. Sit on the inside fastball and spray the off speed breaking ball to left. You are a .300 hitter so get back at it. Get O hot and see how productive this team can be. Go Crew!
