  1. Has there been an update on Sheets in the last few days?
  2. Oh man, how could I forget Villanueva? That probably leaves Parra as the odd man out.
  3. Looking at the BP options once we do get Sheets back, we have some pretty nice options. Obviously Yo will go back to the BP until later in the season or maybe even the postseason, but what do we do with the last spot? Locks for BP: Linebrink Shouse Wise Gallardo Turnbow Cordero Villanueva Leaves Parra as the odd man out most likely, with Spurling DFA'd. Looking at that pen though, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better one in baseball. Three RH power arms, a situational lefty with a very awkward release, a changeup master, and two long relievers in Gallardo and CV that have really shown quite a bit.
  4. Anyone have any good links for free places to listen to the game? Have to work today, ugh!!
  5. I'll say we split the series, even though we face essentially bad pitchers all four games. I have zero confidence in this team on the road. I expect to see full arsenal lineups in every game against the Cards, and I don't think that's too much to ask.
  6. I say we split the series, even though I agree we really don't face even a decent pitcher the entire series. I guess I don't consider any road game a likely win right now. What I want to see is no more resting multiple starters, and giving the Cards our full arsenal all four games. I don't think that's too much to ask.
  7. I apologize to everyone for my rants earlier today, just extremely frustrated. The Cubs getting owned definitely makes me feel better.
  8. Well, of course every poster on here won't die if they don't make the playoffs, but does that really matter? This site is for Brewer fans, and if they end up blowing the division, it's the end of the world as far as sports go.
  9. Brewers are done.
  10. 1.0 game lead after tonight. Most disappointing series overall of the year. We'll be talking about the wild card by next week.
  11. if balfour pitches Yost should be fired tomorrow.
  12. You answered your own question, he makes too much for them to justify a move to the pen, plus he is the only pitcher in the rotation with postseason experience. I wouldn't be surprised to see Suppan pitch a pretty solid 2nd half either. When you throw in them wanting to limiting Yo's innings, it makes it a pretty easy decision.
  13. He's lazy as hell and he's slow, not a good combination. But everything he does sreams apathy, including not taking ANY pitches, throwing weakly down to 2nd base when guys steal, and absolutely dogging it down the basepaths. He is definitely my least favorite Brewer right now, by quite a wide margin. He might have cost us the game by not hustling last night.
  14. I didn't jump off a bridge tonight.
  15. Estrada needs to be benched and/or called out. What a lazy bum. Doesn't have the patience to take pitches, and he can't get his fat ass down the line if his life depended on it. This is as steamed as I've been all year.
  16. Probably the most unacceptable loss of the year. Estrada, Yost, and Balfour can all die for all I care.
  17. Cubs have 12 remaining against Cincy.
  18. Now this guarantees nothing moving forward, but that's a nice stat to look at if you want to feel better about our schedule. Cincy currently has the worst record in the NL.
  19. Still like Hart over Weeks at the top. Granted Hart has been struggling, but man what has Weeks been doing then? Both have looked bad lately but Weeks has been swinging at EVERYTHING and striking out on some absolutely brutal pitches.
  20. Given Dunns OBP that's not a bad idea, especially with Hardy slumping. Maybe him hitting with Braun as protection will give him more to hit, hopefully limiting his high K rate somewhat. A lot of people are down on Dunn because of his K's, but even what has been called a "down year" for him he still has a .900 + OPS.
  21. I'd be looking at LF. Dunn is the most logical choice here. I'd then package one of Mench/Jenkins for best possible deal, considering both will likely be gone after this season anyway. Hart Hardy Braun Fielder Hall Dunn Estrada Weeks Yes please.
  22. I didn't take the time this morning to look up our offensive numbers in the last 15-20 games (I'm sure someone will for me and maybe even prove me incorrect), but it seems like ever since Hall went down we have been extremely inconsistent scoring runs and lately we've just been inept all together. Do people think we need to add a bat at the deadline, or are the players just not performing up to their capabilities lately and that will straighten itself out. Personally, I think Hall coming back will help a lot because he bumps everyone else down one spot on the needed production pecking order. However, with so much youth at the top of the lineup, something like a Dunn trade is looking mighty nice right now, barring not having to give up the farm for him.
  23. Sick of losing to bad teams, most notably the Pirates, Nationals, and Giants. "What am I"?
  24. Definitely not 3. "How many runs are the Brewers capable of scoring today?"
