    Just saw a replay of it. Young the pitcher was clearly saying, "sorry" after he hit Lee. Lee kept inching closer and closer, more words were exchanged, then the punch. Z takes off his belt and was about to use it as a weapon. It will be nice to see the Cubs offense without Lee and Ramirez for probably the next 5 games.

    They are last in average, 2nd to last in OBP, 4th to last in slugging. They might not be the worst, but if you look up and down their lineup numbers and look at their overall stats, it can be argued.

    Couldn't happen at a better time for the Brewers, with the Cubs starting to play pretty good baseball. The fact that it's Lee makes it even better. Lee should get around 5 games, he threw the first punch and I believe it did connect.

    Well, if they hold on for this win, they would have to go 0-6 vs. DET/MIN to return to Milwaukee under .500. I'm just frustrated as all hell right now, even with this win. Detroit is on fire right now and Minny is coming on. We still could very possibly have another week of hell in front of us. I'm expecting 2-4 or worse to end the road trip.

    This is just getting depressing. We will be under .500 the next time we play in Miller Park. I will just never understand why this team always goes on month or even longer droughts like it does.

    I guess I don't understand the ceiling comment. LaPorta could likely come in and be consistently good to great, but then not improve much from that level. Why is that a bad thing?

    Who's comparing him to Hatteburg? Did Hatteburg have a 1.400 OPS in the SEC? This guy has power to all fields and great plate discipline. I'm not worried about the pick.

    Just because LaPorta is a college senior doesn't mean he has "no upside". That's ridiculous. What if he comes in and is just good right away, but then doesn't improve much? Is that worse than a HS prospect that starts out slow but then eventually reaches that level? People are always enamored with "potential". What about production? And Jack Z gets paid to do this, and has had GREAT returns on position players in the past, so why do you know more than he does?

    Pirates win, Astros up 2-1 in the 8th, and Cards walk off win. Still 6 games up, but gained a game on the Cubs to go 7.5 up.

    This team is going to fold again. You can feel it coming. Agreed 100% on the overrated bullpen comment. Only two I feel comfortable AT ALL with are CV and Cordero, the rest are crapshoots every night. The hitting with RISP is mindblowingly bad, as is the pitch selection. We have to be the least disciplined team at the plate in the NL. We will not win the division. Sad but true.
