  1. Sign me. I'll even take one for the team and volunteer to be the PTBNL so that Green doesn't have to go anywhere.
  2. Everyone needs to get the idea of Gallardo pitching this season out of your head. It's not going to happen. Even if he's "ready", he wouldn't have nearly enough arm strength and would be risking further injury by coming back so soon.
  3. If Sheets stays healthy the rest of the way, he'd be my first choice.
  4. Going on record to say this trade is a bad move. In a few months/years if I'm wrong, it was someone else using my account to post this, lol. Seriously people, get your tickets for Tuesday and Sunday before they are gone.
  5. So win tomorrow and we're either 2.5 games back for the division or essentially tied for the WC spot. I'll take it.
  6. Who let Ichiro and Mauer on the AL starting lineup? There's got to be some more Red Sox or Yankees that can fill those spots. Hopefully Fukudome plays awful and Braun is put in and becomes the hero late in the game.
  7. Cards win in the 9th. Hopefully one of those "devastating" losses that send the Cubs in a losing spiral. Probably not though.
  8. 2-1 Cubs in the 9th. I'd rather see the Cubs win this series with the Brewers having the WC spot at the break. And then go to StL right after the break and put some distance between us and them.
  9. If we have to give up yet another piece to beat the offer of another team, we should get out of the bidding and let some other team make that bad trade instead of us. We're already giving up so much for what will likely only give us 2-3 more wins during the course of the rest of the year.
  10. Cameron should not have been running there. Not with the top of the order coming up.
  11. I don't think saving the nickname and color scheme for another team is such a great idea. If the city/fanbase didn't support the team enough, what makes them think another team is going to cause that to change? Sure the first season back there will be some excitement, but after that it'll be the same situation. The Charlotte Bobcats are having the same problem - the fans were excited to get another team after the Hornets left, but attendance has been falling and there is no more interest.
  12. Nice job Rickie. As Ned will say during the presser "he battles out there"
  13. Ditto on that. One of my favorite non-Brewer players.
  14. Cubs lose. That was a close one.
  15. Soto singles in Lee in the 9th. 2-1 Giants, 1 out
  16. Don't need a value on this - just picked it up (actually 2 of them) and thought it was a pretty cool card that others might want to see, especially since Hart doesn't have too many auto cards out there. On-card autos - no stickers http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.olsonnet.com/images/dual.jpg
  17. Nice play by Bill "heres a great catch so forget about my next 3 errors" Hall.
  18. Braun within "just" 33,000 votes of Fukudome as Griffey moves into 2nd: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080629&content_id=3030766&vkey=allstar2008&fext=.jsp
  19. Nice catch, but wouldn't have been a HR - he caught it too far in front of the wall.
  20. I'll be there at least 2 days. No autos that I'm interested in (especially at those prices).
  21. Awful pick. Should have taken Bayless - he was the better talent. You ain't bringing any toughness, guy. Same ol' Bucks.
  22. not too happy with the trade. yi is going to be very good. at least we still kept the #8 pick to possibly use for another deal tonight.
  23. I have a feeling we are going to be very disappointed at the end of the night. I'm just waiting for the team to give me a reason to renew my season tickets, but it's just not going to happen. Keeping the #8 pick won't sell tickets, and likely won't improve the team in any major way. We either need to move up to get a top 3 pick and generate some excitement (regardless of if the guy is actually good - people will get hyped), or trade Redd for a proven star that works well in the Bucks system. Anything else will just lead to another forgettable, quiet year at the BC. Getting Skiles was good, but nobody buys tickets to watch a coach.
  24. I also recommend the Club level very highly. All the positives that logan3825 posted about, plus the "exclusive" food choices you can't get anywhere else. I'd recommend anywhere from home plate towards first base. The third base side doesn't have as much food options because of the Gehl club taking up a lot of the space, so you're going to walk to the other side many times. As for the in-seat service, if you want that, you are better off being close to the aisle, because if you are in the middle (and the section is crowded), it's near impossible to order food without inconveniencing everyone. But it's just as easy to go get your food yourself (and save the tips). The nachos you saw in the pic are good. The chicken tenders / fries combo is also good (and cheap for a ballpark).
  25. So we pack MP with close to 3 million people spending money every game, and yet we still can't keep our own guys? Spend the money, keep the fans coming (and happy). Or watch the team go back to 90 loss seasons drawing under 2 million.
