    Bob Wolfley had this to say in his column today: "Television ratings for Milwaukee Brewers games on FS Wisconsin this season show the tenth-largest jump in baseball compared to last season. Through May 20, Brewers games have averaged almost a 7.9 rating on FS Wisconsin, a 12.6% increase from last season, when the team advanced to the playoffs. According to a SportsBusiness Journal analysis of Nielsen Media Research data, there are nine baseball teams with bigger increases in average rating this season, compared to the same time last season .The Chicago White Sox, Kansas City, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Texas and Washington showed bigger local increases in average than Milwaukee."

    Too old to be a Pearl Jam fan. Ferrell was his normal unusual self. I thought the running through Wrigley, being chased, was a hoot, tho! Think Conan was nervous last night and will settle in real soon to what we have come to expect from him...

First, you should know that all plant foods contain protein. All the protein you need and more can be easily derived from plant foods alone.

    Now, I just thought the term 'vegan' was short for vegetarian. I am still reading up on that site. So, what is your definition of 'vetgan' as opposed to 'vegatarien'? The plan is to not eat any meat,fish,chicken,eggs,etc. Mostly starches complimented with fruits and vegetables.

    As a diabetic, I am always looking for ways to better my health. Being overweight does not help, either. I am seriously looking into the 'McDougall Program'. I came across a man who spent time with Dr. McDougall and swears by the program. It has piles of info at www.drmcdougall.com A person I know at Jefferson Cty Sheriffs Dept. ran checks on it and came back clean. I would like to hear from any/all vegans in this thread about how and when they made the change and if it is working for them the way they wanted it to.

    I was talking to my older brother last night at a party and reliving some of our 'get in trouble' and 'remembering sports' stuff and the subject of the 1962 baseball season involving the Braves(the first year of the Mets and Colt 45's). I said the WTMJ TV sports announcer then was Mike Walden. In 1963, Walden moved to Los Angeles, and I believe it was Hank Stoddard who replaced him and not Jim Irwin on CH4. I do not believe Irwin was an anchor there, or at least not early on. How accurate am I here?

    As far as games yours truly has been to, including yesterdays, I can only think of the home opener, in 77 sunny degrees at County Stadium: Palmers' CG blank 2hitter in just over 2hrs Went to the bathroom and came back two inning later, game moved that fast... (Check out Billy Travers' line; impressive also)

    I just bought a ticket for the Wednesday tilt vs Pittsburgh. This is a 12:05 game, Yovani is pitching and since it is only on MLB.tv. Anybody else from Brewerfan going?
