  1. Angels win this one for sure. The Brewers don't have a chance http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. Clearly Prince is putting extra pressure on himself in those situations to his detriment. He knows his next contract will be based on run production and that means driving in runs. I believe this has something to do with it. The variance is way too big to contribute it all to dumb luck. There has to be another variable(s) at play here.
  3. Batting order is rather meaningless.
  4. He had a veteran team in OAK and that's about all he can coach. Exactly, a team he can put on cruise control and not have to actually do any decision making.
  5. On paper this is a bloodbath. Guess we'll never know when the Brewers will jack three or four bombs, but its most likely to happen against Rich Harden or Zach Duke. Angels sweep, good thing I will be sleeping for most of it.
  6. I love Ozzie. Like I said, if you are going to suck as a team, might as well be entertaining. Ozzie has won a WS, so I guess that automatically makes him a better manager than Kenneth Macha.
  7. I don't know, maybe. But he is striking out at a very similar rate, which appears to show he is still making plenty of contact. Lots of fly outs, which leads me to believe he is just always trying to hit home runs. The difference in the splits is just so massive, I don't see what could possibly explain it.
  8. Please, PLEASE, try to make more sense!
  9. Prince w/ nobody on base (114 AB): .333/.449/.684/1.133 Prince w/ somebody on base (119 AB): .202/.349/.235/.585 This doesn't even seem possible!
  10. Ron Washington, in taking out his closer when it was clear he was going to blow the game, is trying to win now. I don't think Macha knows how to try to win now or develop players. So that may be why I don't see how he has any value to this team.
  11. I agree with this. If they could only do one thing, I would pick firing Ken Macha. He offers nothing to this team. The team is usually just sitting back and waiting for something to happen. Ken Macha. If players don't take matters into their own hands (Gomez on Thursday), there is little or no innovation to this team's makeup. Ken Macha. I grow increasingly bored of this team with each passing day, to the point of realizing there are countless other things to do with my time than to watch an apathetic baseball team sleepwalk through another game. The tone at the top may be the serious issue here. I can't help but think about recent interviews with Melvin, and how they nearly put me to sleep every time. If the team is going to suck, get some personalities in here to at least make it interesting. I am just not that interested at this point, which is sad because its not even July.
  12. Fielder may end up with the least clutch .900 OPS in the history of the franchise. I blame Boras and $200 million.
  13. Poor us? The complaint isn't that WMLW isn't in HD, its that Brewer games are broadcast on WMLW. I think its hilarious that someone would have a problem with that complaint.
  14. The Rangers should have to forfeit the game, because they took out the closer while they still had the lead. I don't think that is allowed in MLB.
  15. Surprisingly enough, Loe and Lloyd are both listed as 6'8". I thought Lloyd would have been taller also, but Loe is a big dude in his own right.
  16. I hate remembering what happened the last time the Brewers played the Rangers.
  17. Garland, and to a smaller extent Ben Sheets, are the only ones I see working out this year. Even Lackey is a disappointment in Boston so far.
  18. Signing past their prime average pitchers seems to be a bad idea for any GM, but they are all doing it. Seems like it pays off less than 10% of the time.
  19. Nothing like burning $1M worth of rocket fuel for no good reason other than propaganda. That said, I really wish I was flying one of them right now.
  20. Cardinals sign Jeff Suppan Haha, I bet he DOMINATES. If he does, I might just give up on MLB. Gross.
  21. Jeff Gordon: STLTODAY.COM SPORTS COLUMNIST In the same post in which he suggests the Cards should pick up Suppan, he has this gem to offer. Unfortunately, he hits the nail right on the head. "Suppan gained lifetime financial security by signing that $42 million deal in Milwaukee. But anybody halfway familiar with baseball knew he could NOT pitch to that level. That was an idiotic contract, another sad example of why the Brewers have failed to get ahead. Does that franchise even have scouts?"
  22. I know some people think all 33 - 36 year olds fall off cliffs but usually people trend lower they don't just suck all of a sudden. How many more examples do we need to see? Of course they can just suck all of a sudden. Is giving up five (5) home runs in 4+ innings bad luck? Its bad pitching.
  23. Sorry Crew, just wanted to set our expectations very low, if they are not there already.
