  1. They go from an 83-85 win team with Fielder down to an 79-81 win team without Fielder. I guess I don't live completely in this world. I still don't see why trading Fielder would leave the Brewers no reason to keep Hart.
  2. If they trade Fielder they have no reason to keep Hart. Well that is confusing. If they trade Weeks they have no reason to keep Gerut. No reason to keep Hart? None?
  3. I see this argument quite a bit, and while it has some merit, most times the players are paid for their athletic ability, not their mental makeup. If a manager is not creative enough to fuel the fire in the players' bellies, then I don't see what the manager is good for. Pay anyone a quarter of what Macha makes to run out the lineup card before the game and be mediocre at managing the pitching staff. If he doesn't bring anything other than that to the table, what value does HE add. What do I see? A team that was making progress toward mediocre defense until Macha arrived. Now a year and a half later they are completely awful, again.
  4. It's called a not guilty plea and a trial. Gee, I hadn't thought about that.
  5. I think Hart's defense in the outfield, along with Braun's, looks bad because neither of them are outfielders. Not because they are lazy. They are just timid and don't want to make crucial mistakes, which hinders them from making all the plays an actual outfielder normally makes. We were spoiled a bit by Jenkins, a true defensive outfielder.
  6. But they are working a 4-man rotation right now with Suppan the #4. Even if Penney comes back they still need a #5 unless they can swing a trade. I hope Suppan is their guy.
  7. I'm not trying to hate on Fielder, his season is what it is so far and fits the 2010 Brewers fairly well. Unfortunate.
  8. Well, no more of those left.
  9. I'm sorry, what's the issue again? Production with runners on base. He visibly hates taking the walk.
  10. I hope he gets another 15+ starts. 4 IP will quickly burn out the Cards pen. LaRussa knows Suppan can't go 3x through the order, and is lucky if he gets through it twice without putting the game out of reach. I look forward to every start he makes with the Cards, because he will complete multiple objectives. 1) will burn up plenty of the pen 2) will likely serve up one or more home runs 3) gives the Cardinals an excellent chance of losing the game I hope they keep trotting him out there. At least we are getting something for that $14.5 million, even if its in the form of a rival team's sabotage.
  11. I lay this more on the managing then I do the players. If Lucroy holds onto the ball the Brewers win that game.
  12. Pathetic baseball one every level except for the pitching. Tomorrow the pitching will be pathetic. Team pathetic.
  13. So he could swing at a ball for strike three. I have no idea how McGehee got away without an error. First he pops up with bases loaded one out, then he costs Parra an earned run. Still time to atone, but that first inning is exhibit BG4 why the Brewers are 10 games under .500, and a generally awful baseball team. One (1) rbi for McGehee in his last 6 games (solo HR)k? Not for a lack of chances that's for sure.
  14. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!
  15. 1. The year the umps came darn close to calling a forfeit when so many fans kept throwing giveaway-promo baseballs onto the field. I believe that was opening day in the late 90's. I was there for the Sveum 3 HR game. Also saw a triple play back in 1999.
  16. If that's a true story, then saying your driving record was clean earlier in this thread wasn't a true story? That was a long, long time ago sir. I haven't had a traffic citation in over 3 years, and just one in the last six. That is a clean record, insurance-wise. Don't get me wrong, I was elated when I learned I could "upgrade" my speeding ticket to a parking ticket. My clean record was the reason. There were people there who were not given the opportunity to pay the extortion fee to get the parking ticket. I can only assume they did not have clean records. If you don´t have the money to pay the consequence of driving that fast, then don´t drive that fast. Its not about the money. The only time I use cruise control is at night, when there are not many other cars messing up my flow.
  17. Just paid my extortion fee online. Now its time to shop the insurance to get that money back. drive at the speed limit and they won't be able to take your money. It isn't foolproof. I have been pulled over while going the speed limit, told I was speeding, and given a ticket. I had no recourse other than to file a complaint against the "Sheriff." Still had to pay my extortion fee. True story. Now for a bonus question, what day of the month do you suppose it was?
  18. I should have said not many new releases available to stream.
  19. Those prices are still less than half of what you would pay at Whistling Straights, so in that regard, not a bad deal! These two courses are not really comparable. Erin Hills looks nice, but I doubt it will ever hold a candle to The Straits course. Erin Hills got its tournament because of who fathered the course. We will see if its good enough to host a successful tournament.
  20. Ironically, the people that are hung up on traveling at what the law says are the ones who are putting us all in more danger. And are generally the type that should not be traveling on interstate highways in the first place.
  21. Studies have also shown that tickets dramatically decrease in this senario. It really is all about the money, and most people know that. Reference your second line that I quoted, does that mean Matt Kenseth can drive 150 MPH on the freeway based on his skills? I'm positive Kenseth could handle it. Average Europeans hit 300km/h on the autobahn, so I am sure Kenseth can handle a paltry 150mph, even if the track is not engineered to handle it. I'd love to see the judges face when you tell him/her that you were exceeding the speed limit due to your driving skills. Why do you think I would tell a judge something like that? I had already agreed to the extortion payment, its not like I was being thrown in jail for going 64 mph. Besides, that's not THE reason why I was exceeding the posted speed limit. I was flowing with traffic and driving an unfamiliar vehicle (softer suspension). I just happended to be the easiest car of the three lanes to gun coming down the 1/4-mile decline.
  22. could someone explain what they see when they call braun a butcher out there? On numerous occasions this year I have seen him actually back up to allow a ball to land for a base hit, rather than give the small amount of effort needed to actually catch it on the fly. Sometimes he appears to be scared of the ball, and maybe this is because he is not really an outfielder.
  23. Might be too late. Of course you can carry your own clubs to save some cash, but they have gone to no wheels allowed. 18 Hole Green Fee:$160.00 Replay Rate:$110.00* Base Fee, Bag Carrying Caddie:$50.00 player Recommended Gratuity, Bag Carrying Caddie:$35.00 and up/player**
  24. Netflix - 3 out at a time is $16.99. You can drop them in any mailbox when you are done (after the flight out), and there will likely be more waiting for you when you get back home. This is what I use. Also allows you to stream what's available when you have an internet connection available. Good for Weeds, Californication, and documentaries. Not many good movies available for streaming.
  25. If for some reason they decide that the speed limit on the highway should be 35, then that's the way things are. And if the government instructed us to line up for mandatory roshambo on the first Monday of the month, I'm sure we would all fall in line.
