  1. I tweeted this earlier but will say it again. Drinking yourself to a .22 is foolish and immature. Getting behind the wheel at a .22 is irresponsible and dangerous. As per the comment about passing 5 fields before failing a 6th field sobriety test, that is very likely false. There are three standard tests given, one is completely subjective and impossible to challenge and I have never seen someone pass it (Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus). The other two are walk and turn and one leg stand. They on occasion do an alphabet test, but it is less common. Just when I though this team couldnt be any more disappointing. As an adult with a family, why are you out at a bar until 2am on a Monday anyway? As I tell my criminal defense clients all the time, want to NEVER get convicted of a crime again? Tuck your kids into bed every night, watch the 10 o'clock news, go to bed.
  2. OWBC - there is no doubt that snow and lower 40s are common this type of year. What I believe is unusual is outside of yesterday and I think one day in March, we havent approached "normal" in the temps department all year. It has consistently been 10-20 degrees below normal since about March 1. That is the part the seems unusual.
  3. Yeah so we are halfway through April and still no sign of spring. What gives?
  4. The team stinks. I know that Ramirez and Hart are hurt, but Melvin knew Hart was going to be out for an extended period of time before ST started. He did nothing about it. There is no excuse for this team to be running out a starting lineup with Blake Lalli, Yuni Betancourt and Martin Maldanado in it. Our farm system is completely void of any talent whatsoever, I wouldnt "blame" that on trades made for Sabathia, Marcum and Greinke as much as I would on terrible scouting and development. The bullpen is rotten.
  5. Im glad I came out of concert retirement to see The Avett Brothers at the BMO Harris Bank Pavillion last year. It was a great free show, even if it was about 104 degrees all day and still in the 90s when the show started.
  6. This is on Melvin. The pitchers too.
  7. This is on Melvin.
  8. So it's Hart to the 60-day DL, Lalli up, which if I am not mistaken now gives us 3 Catchers, 4 SS and 3 CF on the 25 man.
  9. If Braun can't go Im hoping Josh Prince bats third. If we cant have Fielder, why not Josh.
  10. I like Melvin, I always have, I have defended almost every move and never asked for him the be fired. I have to tell you, I am getting close to believing that he has to go. Im not there yet, because I like his overall philosophy, but if I have to watch Gonzalez and Betencourt as our corner infielders a few more times with one of them batting cleanup, Im going to lose my mind.
  11. Also Braun is out again tonight with the quote "can't move his neck" doesnt sound like he will be back tomorrow either. Yuni B is gonna be hitting cleanup.
  12. Get rid of any one of the crappy relief pitchers they have rolled out there this year so far.
  13. So Rotoworld says he is going for an MRI. Is it an ACL tear? Between Gallardo in 2008, Gamel 2x, Gonzalez last year, you'd think the Brewers were an NFL team.
  14. Hey how about that catch last night? He showed a lot of patience waiting for it to come down out of the sky.
  15. Olney: Sources: Justin Verlander can make $202m under terms of his new deal. He'll get $180m over next seven seasons, plus vesting option of $22m. Boring. Time for lunch.
  16. Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder have joined the WWE as a tag team combination to rival the Natural Disasters from the early 90s?
  17. Verlander traded to the Yankees for the rest of ARod's contract?
  18. If it is, What is so major about that? I mean on a national level that Olney needed to tweet about his rumblings.
  19. The suspense is killing us! RT @JustinVerlander: Today is going to be a great day. Big news coming!
  20. I wasnt trying to scare anyone, that tweet is all I have. As soon as Olney divulges whatever it is he is sitting on I will change the title.
  21. So there is that. Although an extension wouldnt jive with Will Carrols' tweet.
  22. Why didnt Lohse accept the 13.5 million tender?
  23. Wind chill is -4 right now. I could handle this if the extended forecast wasnt for 10+ days of continued below average temps.
