  1. I think in past years they've said it would be single seats and SRO just so people don't get their hopes up, but on the on-sale day they've paid plenty of pairs available. I got a pair of Club level tickets last year that way.
  2. Rules say you can also just send a postcard in for a free "no purchase necessary" entry. Whether or not they make sure no NPN entry actually wins is another issue...
  3. I can't see anyone buying WM for Cena/Rock 2 who wasn't already going to order it. It won't get them any more buys. Saving Rock/Punk for WM would have been the better choice. Either way now, the WM main event will be a rematch of either last WM or the RR. Neither will help them sell the show. The speculated Cena/Rock and Punk/Taker WM matches do nothing for me as there is no doubt who goes over in each.
  4. The forum on Blowout is full of unintelligent, gullible kids. That board used to be very useful 5+ years ago, but then their retail business exploded, they did all these contests to attract the lowest common denominator of collector so they could make big $ from all the eBay affiliate links on the forum (which actually makes up a large part of their business believe it or not) and so these days the board is only useful for the occasional drama such as this. Most of the veterans moved elsewhere. The powers that be pretty much take a hands-off approach to the site. They let the board police itself - there are only 2 moderators I believe. And so with no real oversight, things like this happen and for some reason people are surprised.
  5. Brewers not talking with Marcum http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/183356521.html
  6. Piggy Wiggly pays that hack Jerry Garcia too much to spend more on ads :p
  7. Was hoping Ambrose and Rollins would be brought up with a better program than being lackeys and fodder for Ryback.
  8. Yep, figured that one out yesterday. Not really a "backdoor" but yeah, it's easy to do.
  9. How about a Bando/Molitor dual-bobble? :p
  10. Details: http://brewers.mlblogs.com/2012/10/25/the-year-of-the-bobble-brewers-schedule-to-feature-ten-bobbleheads-in-2013/ "In 2013, we have slated not one, not six, but 10 All-Fan Giveaway dates on Sundays throughout the season where every fan in attendance will receive a bobblehead featuring different Brewers personnel. The bobbles could feature current players, alumni, mascots, etc.—and we’ll be revealing them here and across all of our social media platforms each weekday beginning next Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 9." Edited by hawing to include the bobble announcements and giveaway dates as they arrive: #1 (April 7) - Norichika Aoki #2 (April 21) - George Scott #3 (May 5) - Corey Hart #4 (May 26) - Ryan Braun #5 (June 9 ) - Carlos Gomez #6 (June 23) - Polish Sausage #7 (July 7) - Hank Aaron #8 (August 4) - Harvey Kuenn #9 (September 1) - Gorman Thomas #10 (September 15) - Ben Oglivie
  11. ugh. i hate those guys.
  12. I think we can all see exactly where this one is headed...
  13. Don't let up, Nats. Finish them!
  14. Atta boy, JJ
  15. Never gets old seeing the Cards lose in devastating fashion.
  16. Well that was his chance. Tough to see him winning the RBI title now.
  17. Looks like they want to get as much money as possible in your account to make it easier for everyone to buy season tickets next year. That would explain wanting people to pay for the wild card game that won't happen at MP and charging for WS tickets so early. "Hey, we already have a bunch of your money, might as well renew right away..."
  18. How's the weather in Seattle in August? Might be a nice vacation...
  19. Yep, that's the season. Fitting on the day of the first GBP game.
  20. I believe the slide thing cost $200 when they introduced it last year. Probably didn't get many takers at that price so they lowered it.
  21. Agreed. And playing spoiler is no fun when the team you're helping is St. Louis.
