  1. Is there an announcer that works for their team that doesn't put an overly positive spin on their team?
  2. So he should say "this team is terrible, they're not going to make the playoffs, you might as well stop watching the team." Not everyone wants to bask in self pity 24-7.
  3. The biggest problem lately has been the top of the lineup's inability to carry the team. Having a .200 hitter on the lineup everyday is devastating and having a .234 hitter in the lineup everyday is brutal. This problem was masked with All Star years from Lucroy, Gomez, and a relatively effective Braun. Once they started slipping, the team has become unwatchable on offense. Segura and Reynolds have been terrible all year. The recent development has been a slipping Lucroy, Gomez, and Braun.
  4. At least the games were close in the terrible July stretch. This team is just HORRIBLE right now.
  5. The Brewers swept the Dodgers with Geinke and Kershaw pitching, then blew out the Padres in San Diego, and a couple weeks later it feels we won't win a game the rest of the year. Seems impossible to turn the corner.
  6. That's a bold pick cotton. I'll be sure to rub it in when it happens. Also agree with the Chicago fans not being able to judge fly balls situation.
  7. NO IT CANT BE FIXED WE ARE NOT WINNING ANOTHER GAME UNTIL MA SELLS THE TEAM
  8. EXACTLY IF ONLY RRRR WERE BETTER WE'D PROBABLY BE WINNING RIGHT NOW.
  9. Since it was still relatively early, you increase your odds of scoring 2 runs with a productive out vs an unproductive out or double play from a pitcher that's batting .111 this year. Furthermore, Gomez is batting +.400 with a runner at 3rd with <2 outs this year with a .500 obp, so with a high percentage of a productive out from Gomez combined with the probability of a Lucroy hit, you have a fairly high probability of 1+ run and its easy to make an argument for having a .111 batting pitcher move a runner over vs having him swing with a good chance of a strikeout/GDP. Most managers would call for a bunt in this situation as well. But whatever, it's easier to blame the manager for losing the game (actually the entire division) on a pitcher laying down a bunt that moved a runner into scoring position with your two best batters coming up vs anything else that happened in the game by the actual players playing the game. Jesus, this was one the sloppiest games of the year and the takeaway is that its Ron's fault for losing the division because he had his .111 batting pitcher lay down a bunt early in the game?
  10. Or maybe at Gomez for not being able to hit it in play the next at bat? Jesus the Roenicke bashing is getting insufferable. We've gotten to the point where the manager is being blamed for losing the division on an RBI not being produced in the 3rd inning by a pitcher.
  11. Yes, but the strike zone was the size of California in the first half of the game, and then suddenly shrunk.
  12. Come on KRod, close this one for the poor east coast time folk.
