  1. Other teams make horrible baserunning blunders as well. Why didn't he tag at 3rd? FIRE BB.
  2. Realized it's been 4 or 5 years since "next year's our year" was a regular expression from Cubs fans. Now Brewers fans are blowing smoke up everyone's butts. Also, pirates win.
  3. Don't think Segura taking off there was too outrageous. If it works, you have a runner in scoring position. If not, your leadoff hitter is leading off.
  4. For once mine is fine. Guess I stole everyone's bandwidth.
  5. 3 run jack with 2 outs by ike Davis in the bottom of the 8th. 5-2. And the Pirates win.
  6. Couple of bloopers for Cardinals. Of course.
  7. Almost had a panic attack when the FS pitch count thing said Jeffres instead of Lohse.
  8. Or how about let them just talk about something baseball fans like to talk about? How about letting posters post what they want to post? Doesn't it work both ways? Personally I don't listen to TV games anymore because of Rock, I have the game on with the volume down. I find he offers nothing insightful about baseball and his continual "spike it in the dirt!" makes me want to strangle him. In general for a hitter to swing at a pitch it needs to initially look like a strike which a very high percentage of balls in the dirt don't, so it's just wasting a pitch for wasting a pitch sake which is dumb, especially in the pitch count era. Maybe that's why so many 0-2 and 1-2 counts with Brewer pitchers end up going full? Yea I get the fact that he caught the only no hitter in Brewer history but I could honestly care less, he's an apologist who like many former players are hung up on how things were rather than how they are now. I'd rather he just go away, and I much prefer Hamilton's insightful comments on the radio broadcasts to the continual nonsense Rock spouts on TV. I thought that Cirillo was pretty insightful when he covered TV for that Colorado series a couple of years ago as well so it's not that I'm opposed to former players, just players who have a very limited baseball framework like Rock as commentators. And now a return to discussing the actual game on the field... Cc @JSComments
  9. Whatever. While they're winning cheap, we've been in first place since April.
  10. I'm guessing peralta hits a walk off double or home run or something. Then Cardinals fans will forget about it and start booing Ryan Braun in a few weeks.
  11. Annnndd Reds with a 1 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th... Edit woops only bottom of 8th.
  12. Hamilton hit a bomb to left field that barely hooked foul. Just looks like nothing can go their way. The Reds announcers sound super bitter. They keep mentioning how bad the Cardinals offense is.
  13. Reds up by only 1 after Cards hit an RBI with runners at 1st and 2nd before running into an out at 3rd. I think its probably a foregone conclusion that they'll blow another game?
  14. Reds were up 4-1 and now it's 4-2 after a peralta hr, still in bottom of the 6th. The reds have blown leads every game for the past 30 games or so.
  15. Ground balls find holes in the bottom of the 10th. Ducks on the pond with one out. Been that kind of month for the Reds. And here's Peralta, of course.
  16. The Reds had the bases loaded in the 8th and couldn't score, and then lined out to RF in the 9th after they tied it. Plenty of chances to score. The Cardinals tied the game in the 8th after a double by Peralta, a double by Delcalso and another hit by someone. Its the bottom of the 9th now and the way things have been going for the reds, were probably looking at a walk off wild pitch + error. Edit - nope going to 10th after a double play.
  17. Reds seized defeat in the jaws of victory again tonight. They're really a terrible team right now. St Louis is catching them at a good time. Edit: Yowza Reds came back to tie it in the 9th. Rosenthal sucks.
  18. So a save chance by your closer opposite of the eventual NL Cy Young winner is a lose-lose situation? Wouldn't that be a win-lose situation? Or was that a win-lose-lose-lose situation?
