  1. Good clean inning for Box. Some Badger Mutual Insurance runs here would make me feel great.
  2. Feels like we would have had a bunch of 14 inning affairs so far if there wasn't a runner on, given the generally good pitching and bad hitting.
  3. Haven't seen a mock on Frelick lower than #16. Most in the #10-#14 range. Certainly not a reach. Can't say I mind a profile of limited power as the ding vs. one of strikeout problems, given what we're fond of acquiring at the MLB level.
  4. Ashby with a great start - four scoreless, 6 Ks. Wonder if they're nixxing the bullpen plan for good now, given the results. Maybe Small would move into the bullpen reinforcement role, given his innings are piling up as well.
  5. Didn't see it in the final counts in box score but the live MiLB scoreboard at one point showed his first 17 pitches were all strikes. Very encouraging.
  6. Dylan File starting for Blue, great to see!
  7. The $12M team option on Garcia next year looks attractive right now. Unfortunate that Yelich, JBJ, and Cain will eat up $54M.
  8. Missed what, 6 or 7 calls in the final three batters? A player that bad gets sent to AAA the very next day. An umpire is free to be just as bad for two more decades.
  9. Mudcats already postponed. Should be clear by scheduled first pitch, but field will be way too soaked to consider playing.
  10. Is Andy Otero the next Junior Guerra? Sure seems like he's going to be a 29/30 year old rookie. Another great start for Biloxi.
  11. Officially postponed. Edit: DH tomorrow. Milwaukee Brewers @Brewers Tonight’s MIL @ NYM game has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled as a split doubleheader tomorrow, Wednesday, July 7th: •Game 1 will be the rescheduled game from tonight, starting at 2:10 PM ET •Game 2 will be the originally scheduled game, starting at 7:10 PM ET
  12. He was pretty good before this year. Fingers crossed Stearns uncovered another Adames situation. Hate giving up starting pitching prospects, though Francis could be the next Bettinger (and also tells us Toronto had no interest in Bettinger). With Richards, I said when we got him he was Generic Bullpen Guy; he did well here, but is easily replaceable.
  13. Foundt the answer to this: never. https://www.mlb.com/news/josh-hader-brandon-woodruff-corbin-burnes-on-2021-nl-all-star-team
  14. Good to get three of our pitchers. When's the last time we sent three pitchers (and two starters)? Though yes, Peralta was the pick over Burnes.
  15. No Yelich or Peterson (in addition to Narvaez). Craig's trying to save some cows from becoming George Webb burgers today
  16. He essentially repeated Wednesday's game in AAA. Ugly. Mitchell continuing to rake. Someone buy him a ticket to Biloxi.
  17. Much better for Small. And congrats to him and Woody on the Mississippi State title.
  18. 8 1/3 scoreless (with 2 walks and 2 runs scored hitting) from the bullpen without using Boxberger, Williams, or Hader.
  19. Richards has been better than I expected since coming over. While he has less future upside, he's also better than Rasmussen was for us.
  20. Imagine trailing 7-0 and pulling your starter before even being on offense. And then leading 14-7 after the fourth. And it not being a football game.
