Now Pratt adds a 3 run shot.
  2. folly412
Jett with a 3 run bomb in the first inning. And Leonard with a granny. It's getting frustrating not seeing some new blood.

Could have Yelich halfway through another IL stint by now. Cool to have Strzelecki back again, but agree that it seems like a short stay unless they're going to keep him over Woodford. Makes you think not, otherwise it would probably be Yoho coming up. Also, when are we calling up two way phenom Ethan Murray? https://www.mlb.com/milb/nashville/news/ethan-murray-walks-off-iowa-for-first-win-as-a-pitcher Just say the T-rats box score...oof. And Priester's contribution to it...double oof. Good thing we have SP depth, cause it's not looking good to see him for awhile yet.

A position player pitching a scoreless inning (yes, he had defensive help) then coming up in the bottom half to make himself the winning pitcher with a walk off hit. Now I've seen everything!

    You dirty, dirty bird.

Thought it was a tough call at first. But from that last angle, Chourio is clearly going to be safe if he wasn't blocked.

We've not seen the last of Fitzpatrick. Rob Z pitched last night for Nashville and could be back soon as well to take a LHP bullpen role. Yoho has been solid for Nashville if we want a RHP option. So much depth in Nashville (and the lower minors).

Good palette cleanser after last night.
  9. folly412
    Murphy has been tempted.
  10. folly412
Ace stuff. He's surely done, but 93 pitches the way the past few innings have gone is a bit tempting.

It seems we see one or two of these bad defensive plays from the other team most nights. Therefore I suppose it's the norm in baseball but I'm glad it's not the norm for our defense.

    Sal didn't pop it up!

Ortiz buying another two weeks on the roster.

Horray! Extending our MLB lead for best Mother's Day record!
  15. folly412
Pulls him ahead of Adamczewski, who's not appeared to be too challenged by High A pitching.
  16. folly412
Interesting. Judge had no lead there. Double clutch from Sanchez but the perfect throw still gets him.
  17. folly412
I expected zero runs with the bases loaded no outs, so this is a pleasant surprise.

When we actually call up some combination of Jett, Lara, and Leonard so the options aren't Mitchell or four players destined for the Atlantic League.

That was a really dumb play. Make him pay for it, Bill!
  21. folly412
Frelick always popping up is getting more annoying than Yelich's rollovers to second.
  22. folly412
The Vulture attempting to go 7-0.
  23. folly412
Aggressive baserunning pays off. Nice send given the situation.

In addition to the returnees, it's time to look at Leonard and Lara, and Jett and Pratt are coming on strong lately. OBPs below .260 with no power isn't going to cut it, and we're carrying four of them. Lockridge and Hamilton also have no power, but they're at least getting on base.
