Got to start overusing Hall and Ashby so they end up back on the IL.

Trading to bolster the roster might be enough to try to sneak into the playoffs again, but probably not. Too many gaps. And it certainly would not be enough to seriously contend for a pennant. Keep feeding an already excellent system.

Abner's first save since April 2, 2024. After which he'd lose the closer's role, (literally) fight his way to a demotion, then suffer a season-ending injury playing hacky sack in the clubhouse. A really nice turnaround for the kid.

All for sending Ortiz, Durbin, Monasterio down if a trade or waiver claim brings in someone likely to be better. Any viable 2025 alternatives at SS and 3B are not currently in the organization, unfortunately.
