Numbers lie. The eye test clearly shows he hasn't been the same for two or three weeks. Numbers as in him consistently producing hits and walks?

Using Santana in the third yesterday was absolutely the right call. We had to score runs off the relatively weak LH SP before the Colorado bullpen became a threat and Santana gave us the best odds of getting on base for Cain/Yelich. Easy call, and correct.

Excellent lineup! Perez's numbers against LHP are quite good, probably even better than Moustakas. And now this creates headaches for Colorado once they go to the bullpen because we've got a righty killer (Shaw) deep in the lineup.

We're not going to go far against the Dodgers or any of the AL teams if German Marquez is a feared opponent. I'm curious why Chacin is starting on short rest rather than in Game 3 in Colorado. The Rockies destroy LHP in Coors so why not use Gio/Miley today and not mess with Chacin's schedule??

Jeffress is the least affected by pressure on this entire team. He can't have a 0.00 ERA though. Had his first bad day in a long time at an unfortunate time.
