Sure would be nice for the D backs to take this one but I can't see the Cubs winning another game this year so it may be for naught.

Sounds about right for Milwaukee/ Chicago/ Cleveland (etc.). I could see me convincing my friend to do that at 18-19. Oh alcohol and boredom before those lovely phones you stare at all day now.

I don't know. Going in to Wrigley and being on the verge of a 4-game sweep seems pretty "earny" to me. Beating whipped dogs is easy-see every series we've played outside the Cardinals one recently

Too much to ask for ONE Cubs win, ey losers? Let's wrap this one up and focus on the play in game, I guess. Was really hoping for the division and the Cardinals haven't exactly earned it.

I'm thinking that bullpen party area. That would be awesome. I feel like there would be constant arguing and hugging it out every two minutes on repeat and 1-2 people just repeatedly trying to call Stearns to sign anyone who made one decent play to a 4-10 year deal

I'm still really good with a split in this series, as long as the Brewers continue to take care of business. Would love to go into Tuesday's game 1 game down for the division with a two game cushion on the Cubs. Yeah I can't see the Cubs going on a tear all of a sudden and our guys crashing and burning. So get the next two cubbies and get us back in the divison! I have Woodruff shutting out the cards on game 163 so we can delay losing to the Dodgers until the NLCS again. But seriously, Lyles and Burnes will then alternate shutting out the Astros in the WS every other game. Ok maybe that last one went into BC92 territory...

IF Stearns re-signs Moose I think Shaw will be part of a trade to get another starter. Shaw may intrigue somebody like the Rangers who need a 3B and have both Lynn and Minor who would help the Crew. Agreed. I would be surprised if Moose is not re-signed and Shaw is still on the team. We can't afford to give Shaw a shot and have another complete season of Ben Sheets at the plate. Burnes is an extremely promising talent that just crashed and burned with location. His slider and change looked "cured" last night compared to just hanging in the zone waiting to be smashed.

Boy the cubs are looking like babies compared to the brewers. Both have had tons of injuries down the stretch (I’d say we’ve had more) and had tons of below career norm play (again, I’d argue we have had more) but CC has these guys playing the best they’ve played all year. The future is not bright for the cubs and it’s great!

His stupid old timey wind up camera routine is annoying. Add to it he's an untalented gnome much like eckstein and you have a typical cardinal. Molina still is head and shoulders above them all as far as a d bag. He'd be #1 on my list if I were Black (hint hint hit him in the face)
