  1. Guerra- another pitcher we won’t have to see again next year. It’s gonna be some kind of turnover
  2. LOVE watching arcia hit. Diving while doing a lollipop swing is always a good idea. Edit; Nice sac fly
  3. No it is Bellinger's to lose at this point. I think time will show Bellinger simply isn't on Yelich's level but team records carry a lot of weight. Can you imagine if we have consistently good 3/4 hitters next year?
  4. Five straight quality AA hitters in our lineup and a slumping starting pitcher to go with that bullpen... I guess at least the pressure should be off with the packers having a defense? I know I'm at least enjoying games now without expectations.
  5. I don’t think we have to worry about too many pitchers returning to the pen or rotation next year. Endless opportunities!
  6. Put Freitas at 3b. Erceg at SS. Spanky at 2b. Playoffs, here we come!
  7. I mean.... stop the bleeding and just send Shaw home for the year.
  8. I seem to remember tanking for a decade a few times and still not winning anything. Just stating that I'd appreciate this team being more than ok/ good. Good lord Cole is going to have a 20k game knowing this offense.
  9. Sure would be nice to ever be as good as this Astros team. I hope they win it all again
  10. Cub's fans would be saying the same thing if they were winning. Not a well-played game by either team. I mean at this point all of our good players are either running on fumes, gone or playing like crap... I just wonder what their excuses are? Half of our players today are AAAA guys. It's just funny we couldn't win with good players.
  11. Sad day, I've always been a big fan. Maybe they'll give him a shot next year on a lower rate, I guess we'll see! This seems like the start of a major overhaul this winter
  12. See! I told everyone Freitas would be called up. Here's to him hitting 20 homers and .500 for the month while playing SS, catcher and 1b
  13. The cubs have quite a few very good-but not great hitters. They all have tremendous weaknesses but can pummel average to poor pitching. On paper, we were pretty much on the same level to begin the season. Saying we weren't is being less informed than the ESPN people. On another note, why is every thread devoted to stupidity now? I think BC92 is uniting even the "you can't say that" and the "you can't tell me I can't say that" arguments of earlier in the season. Maybe BC92 is the hero we deserve..but not the one we need right now.
  14. Who do you suggest they call up? Freitas! Freitas! Freitas! Our SS solution for next year!
  15. They'll win a few games in a row at some point, but that's not going to be enough. I just think they're not as good as you think they are. He’s alluding to the fact that even the worst teams have an 8-9 game streak or 11/12 just from pure blind luck. Health, luck and performing to career norms have not been on our side.
  16. Well, this score answers the question if we’re gonna make a run.
  17. Sure it would make sense to trade him. Just like if you could trade Yelich for two established, pre-arby aces and an all star catcher and a couple can’t miss position player prospects
  18. I’d think the notion that we can’t hit lefties is cemented now. Ugh
  19. I'm so glad Arcia is making SS a position of need as if we don't need enough for next year. Trade him to some one he'll listen to
  20. Still hate Molina more than anyone currently playing... the constant stream of horse steroids looks like it has taken a toll on his face though.
  21. He's proven he can throw his sinker, curve and slider all for strikes, as well as a FB that sits at 94-96, and has been dialed up to 97. He's definitely got the pitch mix to be a solid starter. Excellent! Thanks for the reply. That makes me less depressed about this year.
  22. For those of us too broke to watch the games, does Houser have more than the usual 1-2 decent pitches? Aka is he the real deal? The scouting reports I'm looking up cost money
  23. That’ll do for The season! Unfortunately football is a distant second for me so I’ll continue to watch this clown show
