  1. Dumb move. Hopefully Hiura’s agent doesn’t make an issue out of it. Just the wrong message to send a guy whos our performed all except Yelich.
  2. No he's not. It's not hard at all. It's like the Braves thinking of sending out Riley. Agreed. This is not a hard decision. You have a young high end prospect hitting well versus multiple veterans hitting terribly.
  3. It's getting towards take a few weeks off watching these guys territory. They're so close yet so far away every other game.
  4. As someone point out, his defense is a ready made narrative to do so. I think service time might play a roll as well if they are not certain he is past super two. They may be trying to play this out until the deadline and then bring Hiura back up. Who knows but there are certainly scenarios. They may try to do that, but I think everyone involved knows that's the wrong way to go. We need all the offense we can get since we can't play defense or pitch. I saw the stats outside of guys 1,2, etc. but those guys are still pitching for the major league club for some unknown reason. We continually get close to making a run and horrible pitching and defense drag us right back down. Be bold, Stearns.
  5. To bring it back to the game.... are we really going to make room for Shaw? I guess Thames is expendable based upon Shaw's past stats- I think there will be a riot if Hiura is replaced by poor defense (moose at 2b) and horrible offense (Shaw).
  6. Offense bailing out the crappy pitching again. GET SOME PITCHING!!! I'm not even convinced the two unmentionable free agents both on the Brewers would be enough.
  7. Apparently our pitchers can't work through the power house of a lineup the Pirates have. You have to be able to handle the crappy teams or you become one.
  8. I hear there’s a great reliever that won’t cost a draft pick soon
  9. Apparently Newman thinks down the middle means a ball. What was he looking at? He could be a brewer
  10. Umpire or not, this team is one team one week (a competitor) and horribly frustrating the next week. They do all the little things wrong unlike the teams of the past two years. What’s with that?
  11. Why is Peralta in the bullpen? I don’t understand at all. He’s unreal inconsistent-the exact thing a reliever cannot be
  12. Very uninspiring considering they just had a day off. Reds pitching good tonight, Yelichless offense awful. It’s always the Yelich excuse when he’s out. The talent is there though. Streams must wonder if he needs to sign four impact bats and offseason instead of two as he did the past two years.
  13. You said...from the Keston thread... "At what point do we send Hiura down and bring Dubon up? Three games is three games!" Are you trying to be a professional counter-point or are you just bi-polar? I didn’t make that comment blue but I guess I should have. He’s already clearly better than a .165 hitter that he replaced. And anybody’s with weeks talent who had a couple decent years is a huge bust. I’m not in the “Hiura is our savior” crowd but he certainly doesn’t need to be. Just hit .250 and play decent defense and he’s a big upgrade.
  14. Gray is just throwing crap up there. Huge strike zone, terrible discipline.
  15. Are we really comparing Hiura to one of our biggest busts ever in weeks? Can we wait a bit...?
  16. Proud of the team for putting up a fight! Avoid those 9 run innings tomorrow boys!
  17. This team seemingly Only prefers To lose blowouts. Wow.
  18. How bout' those down-the-middle pitches stop? Good lord Chacin
  19. It seems like no matter who is on the Braves they hit us hard...Just one of those teams like the Cardinals where it doesn't matter who's on the field
  20. At what point do we send Hiura down and bring Dubon up? Three games is three games!
  21. Looks like things have finally started averaging out of the offense. It feels like we should've outscored the Phillies by this margin every game. It appears to me the central is head and shoulders above the east this year, so far at least.
