  1. I've never understood the "peralta is a bullpen guy" thought process. He can never locate. You simply don't want that characteristic from a guy out of the pen.
  2. No. He gets on base and is exactly the contact hitter we need against all of the hacking. Why should he play more?
  3. He's defied my expectations for him, and I'll happily say I was way wrong. I originally didn't think he'd be ready this year, but that bat is legit right now. Neither did I. His bat is absolutely explosive. He's like Rickie Weeks who doesn't pull his head off everything. Very excited!
  4. You joined the site two days ago and know this already? I wouldn't say 5%, but I would agree a few of the long time posters have a "don't question me!" attitude. Even when they've clearly just made a snide remark that's over the line because of a bad mood (or something like that).
  5. I mean, it's natural to focus on the negative when there's almost all negative. Tonight, it's easy to be positive with a Hiura home run and Woodruff start. Sports fans in general are far worse than this board. Go to some trendy cubs and cards boards. They're much worse. Overall I find this board to be sometimes annoyingly positive for a realist like myself, but also recognize we need those folks for balance in the world. Or maybe I just went on a run in the rain and feel excellent?
  6. This is why you stick with guys that have great stuff and are young. Woodruff was jerked around so much the past couple years and finally given the chance, he's shining. Developing a high quality starting pitcher is almost worth the suffering so far. I'll take a starter stud over a bullpen stud any day, modern times be damned.
  7. That’s what you call a losing team. Pretty much the definition They aren't selling! They're great! Accept it!
  8. Uhh... Grandal and Moose have been pretty good this season and Braun is alright. I don’t get this take at all. I don't consider a .780 OPS (Braun) and Aguilar (who they've trotted out in the cleanup spot until a few weeks ago) especially threatening to opposing pitching like say, a Freddie Freeman. Especially when Moose/ Grandal are leaving (likely) it's a huge weakness in the lineup IMO. Yelich has gone weeks when they haven't thrown him anything.
  9. I wonder if Yelich would have 40 homers already if he had any kind of 3/4 support behind him on a nightly basis. BOOOOO
  10. They’ve been terrible for their talent level. Most teams wake up from that. I’m not upset that they seem to be doing what our team cannot
  11. Chacin is worth nothing. Albers is worth nothing. If you were a buyer, would you want them? Homer Bailey!!! Was traded today. Get a clue You're really not too smart are ya? They are not selling, period! And all will be forced to watch this circus continue with eyes peeled open!
  12. Stop with the sell BS...that is NOT going to happen. It just isn't. I don't want to see that brought up again. Mark A will never go for that and the fans would revolt. Period. End of story. So you think this is a quality playoff team? That's the only reason not to sell. I would be interested in a logical person explaining how this is a quality playoff team. Last year we had an excellent bullpen. This year we don't have much of anything.
  13. This team is embarrassing. Sell and please fire Hook. He's earning a large paycheck for nothing.
  14. We simply don't have the prospects to patch the holes on this team. I keep trying to convince myself otherwise, but it's true. If you can't hold the Giants down, you can't hold anyone down.
  15. can't we give anyone in A+ or AA a chance? for the love of god
  16. When was the last time we knocked around a crappy starter? I honestly don't remember
  17. How do you struggle as bad as this team has against the terrible giants this year? Win or lose you have to sell
  18. Boy from all these threads it's obvious we need this team to start winning games or we're gonna start having addresses posted and in-person fighting occurring.
  19. They’re gonna need to prove hader is heathy to get the ridiculous package now. But yes, if Jesus has a couple hot weeks we could get quite a haul for a number of players all while probably playing better than they have been lately. Go Stearns! Rip some teams off in a barren trade market year
  20. When do we start selling? Hopefully hader’s injury is minor so we can still cash him in
