  1. My main point is that we’ve traded or cut better players for less money. If it’s a “go for it year” where they push payroll sure. But If they focus on cutting payroll again and retooling then his status would be in jeopardy.
  2. If he keeps this up no way they bring him back for 10 million+ next year. Turang has shown he can suck for the minimum at SS next year
  3. Well done! Now get some damn hitting !!
  4. Will we miss the playoffs because of estury Ruiz though? deep thoughts
  5. Although they obviously have talent, clearly the reds weren’t going to maintain a team OPS around .900 with mostly rookies. This should spur Arnold to get a couple hitters and promote a couple as well. Maybe we get lucky and can take on LA/ ATL with the big three back and dealing.
  6. The team couldn’t hit at all and looked to be on empty all year. Can we give this narrative a rest?
  7. Well obviously lauer still isn’t over it
  8. Are peralta and burnes falling back into line or is it just the regression the reds should experience the remainder of the season?
  9. If the Yankees end up with him having an awful farm system we could match it and barely feel it. some of the farm systems rankings I’ve seen are absolutely ridiculous. The brewers have dropped 10-15 spots while acquiring more high end talent and seeing many players improve. That said, those expecting ohtani to go for 2 top 50 prospects and three near top 100 are going way overboard. I could see frelick, black, small and Lara getting it done. The angels will do one headliner and quantity because their system really does suck.
  10. They should be coming down to earth so I’m not surprised. Just like the 2007 brewers don’t throw them fastballs
  11. Did yelich forget he was good again?
  12. The art of “shortening up” to score the run is dead. Maybe I’ll get lucky and one of the kids I coach can tell the rest of the mlb about a sac rbi
  13. If we trade for cron, candelario and ohtani we might have an average lineup
  14. Every time I see the brewers trot out a lineup like this I wonder if they believe they’re a major league team.
  15. The only rental you’d trade for a top 100 prospect would be Ohtani if they had decided to deal him. it might cost a small or Lara I’d guess.
  16. He serves no purpose. Move on to hiura immediately
  17. When he first came up he absolutely attacked the strike zone. Burnes was the same and seems to be transitioning
  18. Why do pitchers who come up aggressive like burnes and gallardo always back off and try to get pretty.
  19. That’s the definition of brewers hitting- triple and three straight k’s 😅
  20. GMs are getting much more realistic minor league talent for veterans when compared to 10+ years ago where an Alonso would bet you three future all stars. Frelick for Goldy straight up is a slight overpay but something I would do.
  21. I would guess yes and rowdy will be in AAA like urias. I’m glad the accountability is ramping up.
  22. An absolutely pathetic loss. That should be the end of bush
  23. I will honestly say “screw you for last season mccutchen” from all brewers nation.
  24. I know some one who kills the pirates we could call up to DH. Rich hill is probably a shut out the final game so you gotta get these first two.
  25. As he gets on track in the next week let’s do this thing! Put him in the five hole and let him hit some dingers. Turang looks like he’s almost ready to come back and hopefully Frelick gets hot as well.
