  3. If he makes it to #52, he will very likely be the pick. But I don't think he makes it to #52.
  4. The writers from the Journal-Sentinel did a podcast yesterday, and Silverstein kept mentioning running back and Jadarian Price and Mike Washington. #52 is looking like a bad spot for the Packers. I have to admit that I wouldn't be shocked. If the Packers end up drafting a backup running back at #52 (Price), I can see half the fanbase going nuts, although my gut feeling is that Price is a bit smaller than Gutekunst would like. Washington is definitely in play.

  6. Unfortunately, Gutekunst feels the same way. Banks sucked and Belton was not exactly impressive last year. Combine that with Morgan's inexperience at LT (for Walker only being average/below-average as a LT....Morgan never threatened him for that job) and Tom coming back from a significant injury...the offensive line is the group that could sink this team. CB a close second.
  7. Discrepancies can be explained by the Jets and Browns. All of them. I should also point out that it's not "my board," but a consensus/composite board made up of top prospect lists from around the web. As an extra bonus this year, ESPN didn't publish Kiper's list behind a paywall, so I threw that in this morning. I'm still waiting for an updated list from Eric Edholm (NFL.com), when I get his added in I'll post the board in the off-season thread.
  8. Banks is #39 and Miller is #44 on my updated board. I don't think either of them make it to #52. Lee Hunter is right at #52, but even though he was a 30-Visit, I still don't think the Packers will pick him with as athlete-minded Gutekunst is. I would personally love to see them pick Hunter, Next Gen production rating was #1 among that DL's at this year's combine. Next Gen athleticism grade...second to last. Historically, Gutekunst has not picked guys like that. To me, he's be my #1 choice at #52 over Georgia Tech OG-Keylan Rutledge by the slightest of margins. Those two guys would be my favorites BY FAR with how the board currently sits. And as much as Gutekunst loves the workout guys, Dani Dennis-Sutton just has not climbed the board like I thought he would and currently sits #73. Will Gutekunst have him higher than that on the Packers board? Pretty likely. High enough to pick at #52? I'm now a bit doubtful about that. Romello Height has been slipping bit by bit, and is now sitting at #90 on the board, a few spots after the Packers third round pick (#84). I think Gutekunst would like to take an EDGE guy at #52, but if Malachi Lawrence, Gabe Jacas and R Mason Thomas are all off the board, I don't think he can. Looking at the board, Tennessee WR-Chris Brazzell II seems more and more likely at #52. You want to track 30-Visit guys...WR Chris Brazzell II at #52, EDGE Romello Height at #84 and CB Will Lee III at #120 all fit pretty well in those spots. Man, I can see a lot of Packer fans losing it if Gutekunst takes another WR in round 2 after taking WRs in round 1 and 3 last year. Personally, I'm more worried that he's going to largely ignore the offensive line, which to me is crazy because that is the group that looks like it has the most potential to crap-out and end up sinking this team's chances. Also going to throw this out there. Even with 8 draft picks, the overall depth on this team will not be looking good. By my count, they are up to 9 day three picks in 2027 (3 of their own (traded one for Kinnard), 4 comp picks, 2 picks for Gary/Wicks). IMO, they could give something up and move one of those picks into the upcoming draft. The Dolphins currently have 11 picks, seven of those in the first three rounds. I would be on the phone already offering the Dolphins next years 4th round pick for the 11th pick in the fifth round (#151 overall). Packers fourth round pick this year is at #120, will go up or down depending on how the team does. But for now, count on it being about a 30 spot drop to have the pick a year earlier. On the board currently....#151 = Demonte Capehart/DL/Clemson, #152 = Adam Randall/RB/Clemson, #154 = Drew Shelton/OT/Penn State, #155 = Mason Reiger/EDGE/Wisconsin, #161 = Caden Curry/EDGE/Ohio State, #169 = Diego Pounds/OT/Mississippi, #170 = Dontay Corleone/DL/Cincinnati, #175 = Charles Demmings/CB/Stephen F. Austin. Looks like above-average fifth round talent to my eyes, I'd be comfortable making this swap considering the amount of day three picks we have to work with in 2027.
  9. I updated the composite I've put together this morning. Check out page 13 of the Packer's 2026 Off-Season thread for a two-week old version. I will post a final version, but in particular want to wait for a final ranking from Eric Edholm at NFL.com before doing so. Gabe Jacus was #48 in the update from this morning, and I would guess he will go a bit higher than that.
  10. That's why they traded Wicks, to open up a spot on the roster so they could take a receiver this year. They only way it won't happen is if the guys they like get drafted higher than anticipated. Watson, Reed and Wicks were all free agents after 2026, they made the decision to get another receiver on the roster that would be controlled for the next few years.
  11. It's worth noting that Ponds has the #1 Next Gen Stats Production score among CBs that were at the combine this year. I don't think there is a chance the Packers take him due to his lack of height. Unless there is some type of character concern or injury that we do not know about, I don't think there is any chance that Gabe Jacus makes it to round three, much less the Packer's pick in round three. I don't think he'll even make it to the Packer's second round pick, but in a scenario where R Mason Thomas and Derrick Moore would get drafted ahead of him, maybe it could happen.
  12. Burgler has a 7-round mock up. IMO, Brugler is high enough on the credibility list to give some commentary as a Packer observer sees it. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7190297/2026/04/15/nfl-mock-draft-2026-full-seven-rounds/?unlocked_article_code=1.bFA.YG5E.j1nAiO6wjYXW&source=athletic_user_shared_gift_article_copylink&smid=url-share-ta 2-52 - Dani Dennis-Sutton/EDGE/Penn State I could not agree more. I think Malachi Lawrence (at #26) and Gabe Jacus (at #46) are the DE/OLB's Gutekunst really wants, but he will be more than happy to take the superb athletic testing Dennis-Sutton at this spot with the other two players off the board. 3-84 - Davison Igbinosun/CB/Ohio State Nope. While it's likely that Gutekunst would like Igbinosun's size, length and physical play, to me he seems too average of an athlete for Gutekunst to take this high. I'd guess Georgia CB-Daylen Everette in this spot, who ended up being picked at #93 in this mock. 4-120 - Febechi Nwaiwu/G-C/Oklahoma A reasonable enough pick as the Packers sure could use an interior swing-man. While I think Gutekunst may prefer to go offense here and pick someone like Boston College OT-Jude Bowry (#144), Penn State RB-Nick Singleton (#140) or Baylor WR-Josh Cameron (#141), I will go with SE Louisiana DT-Kaleb Proctor(#136) as the pick, who was one of the Packer's 30 visits. 5-153 - Tim Keenan/DT/Alabama I don't see this happening. Unathletic nose tackle, the type of guy that Gutekunst would bring in if he went undrafted, but I don't see him using a fifth round pick on a player like this. I'd project Mississippi OT-Diego Pounds(#182) to the Packers in this spot. 32 starts at LT in ACC(North Carolina) and SEC(Mississippi), but like Belton last year, Gutekunst would probably view him as a candidate for any spot along the offensive line except center. 5-160 - Dametrious Crownover/OT/Texas A&M This is a very reasonable projection. Crownover is very gifted and could very well have the highest upside of the middle round offensive tackles. I'm guessing Gutekunst would prefer the LT experience that Pounds brings, but wouldn't be a bit surprised if he went with Crownover instead. Considering the glaring lack of offensive line depth currently on the roster, it wouldn't be crazy to project them taking both Pounds and Crownover with their fifth round picks. However, I would think Gutekunst would be chomping at the bit to take an offensive skill position player by now. The obvious projection would be super-tester Cincinnati WR-Jeff Caldwell (#163), but I'm not projecting him to Green Bay as there just seems to be something missing with him. Even though Brugler has projected Indiana RB-Kaelon Black to the Packers at #201, I'll guess Gutekunst does not wait around and takes Black at this spot. 6-201 - Kaelon Black/RB/Indiana Very reasonable projection as he is one of the Packer's 30 visits. I'll go with Kentucky C-Jager Burton (#239) here. Burton has 23 career starts at LG, 15 starts at C and 9 starts at RG. Short-armed, very athletic guy who some think will be stuck at center, but others think he could end up at any of the interior offensive line spots. 7-236 - Jaden Duggar/LB/Louisiana Brugler goes with one of the Packer 30 visits here. Since the Packers already have 5-6 solid candidates for the 2026 roster, plus both starters being under contract in 2027, I'm guessing the Packers are looking at Duggar primarily as an undrafted free agent. But if the board is not to their liking this late in the draft, anyone becomes a possibility. I'll go with Florida WR-J. Michael Sturdivant (#251). Sturdivant looked like a future star in 2022 and has gone backwards ever since. However, he's 6-2 7/8, 207 pounds, ran a 4.40 40 and had a 39" vertical at the combine...so he appears to be a late round candidate that Gutekunst would love. 7-255 - Michael Heldman/EDGE/Central Michigan After adding Dennis-Sutton earlier, the Packers will have so many DE/OLB on the roster that it would be very hard to take a second one IMO. Heldman is another 30 visit for the Packers. I'll go with a different 30 visit, James Madison S-Jacob Thomas. Fifth safety spot is now open in Green Bay, and Thomas appears towards the top of the list of very late round/undrafted candidates that have visited Green Bay.
  13. While this should be cause for a major celebration, I am somewhat disappointed. I was hoping he would stick around long enough to get fired, preferably in the most humiliating way possible.

  15. The more and more I look at this draft, and I'm becoming more and more convinced that DE/OLB will be a pick at #52 or #84. It seems like there will be a significant drop in talent at that position from #84 to the Packer's fourth round pick at #120. If you look at Parsons rehab and Van Ness/Sorrell and have any question marks in there, then you have to pick one and cannot wait until round six to do it. Maybe Gutekunst has a later round guy that he sees as a gem, like Mason Reiger, but I would not count on that. Then I look at CB. There are some decent later round candidates here, but they have a need at this position this year and will likely have an even bigger need at this position next year. So in the first three picks, I would expect a CB to be picked. LB is the one position that I think they will avoid altogether. Cooper/Franklin/McDuffie/Hopper + Neimann/Welch pretty much fills the roster for 2026. Cooper and Franklin are both under contract in 2027. This looks like something that gets addressed in 2027, not 2026. The position that everyone has ignored is safety, but McKinney, Williams, Bullard (nickel/safety) and Oladapo all become free agents after 2027, so it may be time to get someone in the pipeline now. With Anderson gone, the 5th safety spot is now open. There are some interesting athletic safeties available in the later rounds. Other than that, just about any position at any pick.
  16. I'm shocked the Packers got two picks for Wicks. He was a 332 yard WR last year. Three years into his career, he's a 2.3 catch, 29 receiving yards per game receiver. He's not a high volume guy and he's not a 3rd level guy. Personally, I'd like my chances to use a 5th round pick on a WR and get similar production, and have that guy under contract for 4 years at reasonable salary. I guess I don't understand what Roseman sees here, but also have to say that a fair assessment of Roseman puts him in the Stearns/Arnold tier of running a major, professional sports organization so it's hard to second-guess him. It will be interesting to see how this works out from Philadelphia's end.
  17. Based on these visits, and Gutekunst's draft history, I don't think Gutekunst is drafting a nose tackle and, frankly, I don't think he has any interest in drafting a big guy with average/below-average athleticism despite any exceptional ability (and exceptional potential) the guy might have for clogging up an interior running game. The atitude sure seems to be - "This is a nickel/dime league and why bother with the run if we are playing pass defense 70% of the time." Hopefully this does not come back to bite them in the rear in a critical game against the Lions or Bears, two teams that could have the ability to just pin their ears back and completely run all over them. I'm not anticipating them drafting a nose tackle at all. Players like Domonique Orange, Dontay Corleone, Tim Keenan III....I'd just take them completely off the board if projecting picks to the Packers. I'm pretty sure Gutekunst would rather just take a Christen Miller or DeMonte Capehart, put them at nose tackle 25% of the time, and wager that the pass-rush upside they will bring will far outweigh any downside that might come with their ability to play the run at the nose tackle position. One should also note that the pass-rush upside for players like this is only that, upside, because these guys really weren't known as top pass-rushers in college. Also, based on the Hargrave signing, and the players they are scouting, if they end up playing a 3-4 as the base defense (and it won't actually be the base defense...the base defense will be a 4-2-5 because that's what they are likely to be in a majority of the time), it will be a 3-4 base defense in name only. They will not have a zero on the roster. They will have 4 guys on the line of scrimmage on almost every down, and one will be lined up as a 1, one will be lined up as a 3, one will be lined up as a 5, and the 245 pound guy that will be lined up as a 7 they will call an OLB, but in reality this will very likely be a 4-3 one-gap defense.
  18. A whole bunch more Packer visits being reported over the last three days- #42 - Christian Miller/DT/Georgia #138 - Kaleb Proctor/DT/Southeastern Louisiana Kaelon Black/RB/Indiana Anthony Smith/WR/East Carolina Jaden Duggar/LB/Louisiana Malcolm Dewalt IV/CB/Akron
  19. Texas Tech QB-Behren Morton is one of the Packer 30 visits. 6-2, 221. 2025 stats = 12 games played, 219 completions, 332 attempts, 2780 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 43 rushing attempts, -113 rushing yards, 0 rushing touchdowns. 2024 = 12 games played, 295 completions, 466 attempts, 3335 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 55 rushing attempts, -22 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown. He was at the combine and showed good arm strength and high velocity throws. At the Texas Tech pro day, he ran the 40 in 4.89 seconds, had a 30.5" vertical and a 9'5" broad jump. Morton has battled injuries throughout his college career, including injuries to his throwing shoulder. He displayed a pretty big arm at the combine, but most of the scouting reports that I've looked as indicate he doesn't show that same arm-strength in game, possibly due to the shoulder injuries. He currently projects as an undrafted player.
  20. This morning I sat down and put together a draft board. Basically compiled lists from respected writers and organizations (I'll count ESPN's ranking at being Scout INC rankings, as ESPN do not merit the term "respected" IMO). There are other consensus lists all over the internet, but IMO pretty much all of them use a bunch of outdated lists, lists from questionable sources, and factor in mock drafts (which I don't like, because if mock drafters are missing on team needs, it really screws things up). This is the top prospect lists I used...Zierlein (NFL.com), Jeremiah (NFL.com), Edholm (NFL.com), Scout INC (ESPN), Rang (Fox Sports), PFF, Ourlads, CBS Sports, End board has a total of 213 players. Here are the rankings for the players that are Packers "30 visits." #79 - Romello Height/EDGE/Texas Tech #80 - Mike Washington Jr./RB/Arkansas #90 - Ted Hurst/WR/Georgia State #188 - Charles Demmings/CB/Stephen F. Austin Not ranked - Jacob Thomas/S/James Madison Not ranked - John Gesky/OG/Illinois Not ranked - TJ Quinn/LB/Lousiville
  21. Prior to the Aaron Banks restructure, they would have had 6.75 million dollar cap hits in 2027 and 2028 if they cut him after this upcoming season with a post-June 1 designation. After the restructure, those numbers are now 9.947 million in 2027 and 16.341 million in 2028 according to Over the Cap. And his 2027 cap number will be 25.447, so even if he is "average," it will be hard to bring him back with a number like that.
  22. Stephen F. Austin CB-Charles Demmings in for a visit. 6-1 1/8, 193 pounds. 2025 = 12 games played, 18 tackles, 4 interceptions, 5 pass breakups. 2024 = 11 games played, 19 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception, 10 pass breakups. Combine numbers. 40 time = 4.41, 10 time = 1.55, 42" vertical, 11'0" broad jump. Big and fast and can jump through the roof. Tackling, not so good at that. Currently grading out in the late round five/early round six area. I think he's an interesting guy for a later round pick.
  23. Arkansas RB-Mike Washington Jr. in for a visit. 6-1, 223 pounds 2025 = 12 games played, 167 rushes, 1070 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 28 catches, 226 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown. He played for New Mexico State in 2024. 2024 = 12 games played (4 starts), 158 rushes, 713 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 9 catches, 74 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown. Washington was a monster at the combine. 4.33 40 time, 1.51 10 time, 39" vertical, 10'8" broad jump. Profile is pretty straight-forward with him. Big, speed guy that can be pretty dynamic once he gets into the open field. But at the same time, he is an indecisive runner that lacks good run vision. Even though Washington appears solid as the third highest graded running back in this class, he currently project right around the area the Packers are picking in round three.
  24. The rookie draft pool for the Packers is $7,955,118. However, when subtracting out players that will get bumped off the roster after the rookies are added, OverTheCap estimates the Packers will only lose about 1.75 million in cap space. Also note that the Packers are about 22 million under the cap. However, since Nate Hobbs was designated a post June 1 cut, there is still an 8 million cap charge currently on the books that gets erased from 2026 and goes onto 2027 once we get to June. So really, the Packers sit about 28 million under the cap after the rookies are added in. I'm guessing they will be looking to stay about 15 million under the cap heading into the season for adding injury replacement players, insurance costs, etc....so I think they would still have about 13 million to spend. If they don't do anything else in free agency, I will have major, major, major questions as to why they restructured Aaron Banks contract, which looks like it could become a very questionable move unless he shows dramatic improvement.
  25. They are going after Wisconsin kids because they don't want to spend significant money in high school recruiting. Will there be an occasional big fish out of Texas that they feel they must have and will throw some money at that guy? Sure. But for the most part, they are going to go cheap with high schoolers and throw more money at transfer players. So they are now going after Wisconsin kids early to try and develop some loyalty, so when a bigger school comes around later they are hoping they will be able to retain them. Also, for positions like the offensive line where they want to use a "high school recruit and develop" type strategy, they are hoping the Wisconsin kids will have the loyalty where they won't look to bail after backing up for two years...even when there is an opening and a promise that they will be a likely starter in year #3. And for a guy like Reiter, there will be plenty of other schools going after him hard later. He's a major get for them now, and he'll be a major retain for them if he is on the roster in the fall. I've been told they were only lukewarm on the Mallinger brothers, and they wouldn't have considered it any sort of major loss of those guys would have gone elsewhere. I've NOT been told this, but two years ago I very much suspect they would not have gone after Dustin Roach at all this early, and would have only had him on the radar as a backup plan late in the process if there was still an opening. And that is not a knock on Roach, who could develop into a very good player. But he's the perfect example of "do we want to tie up resources in a marginal Wisconsin kid like this early, when we probably can get a better player elsewhere at a later date" approach that they seemed to operate under the last couple of years.
