just posted on twitter that Scooter was hit in BP on the finger and was getting checked out also posted that Nelson has a blister and is being pushed back to Tuesday against the giants, Loshe and Garza will be closing out the series after Peralta tonight

I dont care Haniger got traded, 23 at AA, the kid was basically blocked from the majors for 3 years anyways with Davis/Braun/Gomez there, last thing I want to see is a kid get to AAA quickly and then sit there for 2+ years because theres nowhere for him to go. At least now he'll have a chance to break into the majors with less obstruction (without actually looking at AZ's roster)

maybe a util IF guy will clear waivers, replace Bianchi/whoever on the bench.. I dont see them getting a 1B, the only other piece might be a RH RP in the pen to replace Kintzler until after Sept 1st -

just incase this was questioned in this thread as it was in the Lester thread, i'll just put it here, too": Super 2 status matters to other franchises as much as it does to ours, which also increases Nelson value on the trade market. so to say "if he was gunna be traded, shoulda started him in May" actually potentially drives down Nelsons value as now whatever team would acquire him would have a player who has that extra year of arbitration cost associated with them, driving up that players long-term costs.

thats also assuming that we have zero pitchers from A+/AA/AAA make any strides and improvements to jump to the majors by 2016. we have Fiers, Pena, Hellweg, Jungmann, Bradley, etc etc etc, if the front office continues to be proactive and promote players quickly through the system we could have even more (Wagner, Lopez, whoeverelse). To think that the only pitching prospect we have to have any value in the rotation in 2 years is being rather dismissive of the talent we have, which is how this fanbase has thought of our team over the last 4 - 5 years... decade...
